We have taken both my wife’s and my vehicles to Quality Car Care for our oil changes, and have been very satisfied with their services. Recently when I was simply looking for a used single tire for a tire swing, they made sure to help me find the best one (size and newness). Genuinely nice folks.

They got me right in when I called, took them an hour to take my wheels off of my car and put the tires on the new wheels I had with me, polite & honest. Saved me money by telling me that I didn't need an alignment on my car when I thought that I did. I will definitely be going here again. There wasn't a scratch on my new wheels, they did an excellent job, would recommend to anyone!

The worst place to take your car. They don't give proper estimates, they don't inform you upfront about charges for diagnostics or tell you what and when the are doing something to your car. I came in to check an antifreeze leak and the lady at the counter had told my husband that there would be absolutely no charge for the check but when we came to pick the car back up not only was my car not waiting for me outside but she had deliberately lied to my husband and he had to pay $50 for the check that she had told him there would not be a charge for. I recommend expert auto at either location in Wichita because not only do they update you on what they are doing but follow through with their estimates or quotes before doing work to said car.

I was hoping to solve my wheel bearing problem at as little cost as possible, being relatively broke, so I bought the relevant bearing myself and removed the steering knuckle from my car myself in order to save on shop labor costs. I don't own a hydraulic press, and that's where Quality Car Care comes in.

Counter guy took pains to explain to me that the bearing I bought was inferior. It cost me $11 on RockAuto. The one he sells costs $65. Pretty clear what's going on there, but it doesn't bother me; he's gotta sell his products, it's part of how he makes a living.

As it turned out though, it didn't matter. Through what I can only guess to be a sloppy press setup, he trashed the flange on my spindle, forcing me to purchase a new flange and bearing from him (I am unable to do without a car during the workweek.) There goes my cell phone bill for this month.

He gets the replacement parts to his shop and installed fairly quickly, to his credit. Unfortunately, I don't notice until I get home that he's somehow managed to crush the strut pinch, making it impossible to put the steering knuckle back on my car.

It took two trips back to the mechanic's shop to get the thing bent back enough to go back on the car. He torched it, and pried on it. The pinch bolt hole is marred pretty badly, and the strut isn't sitting flush in the pocket anymore, but it at least fit back together.

Never ever going to this shop for anything again.
