This place needs a good cleaning! The bathrooms are an absolute disgrace. Also, pretty much every time I take the train here they announce boarding and last call for boarding before the train arrives at the station. The announcements are useless. Whoever is in charge of this place should be embarrassed.

This review does not do justice to the two small businesses inside of the station, but I will fill it with the information you need to get your day started.
Cafe Lafrance is a high volume coffee shop that can make you a sandwich, a specialty coffee, a tea, or sell you your commuter rail (cash only for commuter rail tickets, only when the cafe is open.) They.are.awesome, and worth a review of their own. Get commuter rail tickets at the corner farthest from the main entrance.
A travel shop is open longer than the coffee shop there. Expect to find various Rhode Island related gifts and travel goods at a high markup. Things are expensive and rightly so, because location.
If both are closed, there are vending machines with an ATM located there.
Limited parking is available underneath the train station, more is accessible at Providence Place Mall across the green outside of the station.
Amtrak does run train service to Providence amongst the Northeast Corridor to from NYC to Boston, a commuter rail to Boston also runs out of this station at more periodic intervals, but has more local stops than Amtrak, so it is a longer trip.

Could not find the men's bathroom. Also the big police presence was spooky. Maybe some would find that reassuring.

This company has zero consideration for those that use their services. My train was over an hour late and I did not receive notification until after I was to leave about this delay. My company suffered a great finical lost due to their negligence. I will not be using this station again and will advice my employees, friends and family to do so as well.

Disgusting filth hole. Only thing filthy, gross or unclean we saw in all of Providence. Bathrooms seemingly not cleaned since the 90's, garbage (there's only one bin) overflowing with filth and littler. Staff practically non-existent other than on old man complaining about too many packages and refusing to check bags. Gift shop offer no Providence paraphernalia and a 3 oz bag of nuts is $6. Arguably the most pathetic train station in the country. NOT an example of an otherwise pristine, qauint and we'll managed city.

Wonderful Station Very clean and Quaint Cafe Of Course over Priced but which one isn't in the United States. Great Fresh Sandwiches. Police Are always around so u feel a sense of Comfort.

Nice train station serving Amtrak and commuter line. Ticket sales for both. Free wi-fi. Parking garage. Near RIPTA lines. Bike rack.

Nice and beautiful station. The small cafe in the station provides quite a good number of choices for sandwiches/wraps. Coffee is good.
