Good for train watching.

Large, free parking lot provides access to indoor waiting area, which opens out onto a sheltered platform so you stay dry while boarding the South shore trains, which are typically on time or no more than a few minutes late.

Convenient, plenty of free parking, way cheaper and way less effort compared to driving into Chicago. Took it the day before the Chicago marathon and the train was SRO though so be prepared if there's a big event.

The man that runs the train southern shore lines gave us his personal parking space on a very busy travel day. Was so thankful for him. Saved our trip to Chicago!!!! Thank you sir!!! Clean and easy to get to. Friendly doesn't even come close. Family might be a better word.

I've visited this station a couple of times for trips to Chicago. Ample parking and easy to use kiosks for tickets. Lots of platform space as well. We'll definitely be back for our next trip into the city.
