Very cool place to grab a drink. A large variety of drinks to choose from and the few I had were amazing. I would recommend this bar to anyone in the Louisville area.

Unbelievably inventive cocktails and great food in the most hip place in Louisville.
I was so happy my wife and I walked past Proof when we wanted to have a drink. The bartenders have their own concoctions on the menu that are flavorful and inventive that I wanted to try them all.
After going for drinks in the afternoon, we decided we should eat here as well. It was worth it. From the bone marrow starter all the way to the corn pudding, everything was excellent.
I recommend Proof for anyone who likes real drinks, creative dishes and wants to hang out at a hip place.response / report this review -

Their smoke ring cocktail is just one more work of art in this place. If you leave KY without visiting, you have a valid excuse to return. Knowledgeable bartenders, great decoration, and amazing drinks made this spot the highlight of my bar hopping.

So impressed by the environment and welcoming people inside. I came here on a date and we were greeted by a nice man at the door named Tyler that informed us about the unique little restraunt and art museum. They seated us in a cozy hip room gave us many recommendations and as we drank our drinks and ate our snacks, we got to walk around and looked at the modern art. It was perfect!

I could rave on for an hour about the 50 reasons why i always get off in Louisville to grab an opportunity to experience PROOF. The food! The art exhibit in their restaurant you can enjoy while, before or after dining. The lounge scene. The service. The inspiring up and coming area. The Art. The decor. The story. Props to you all

I visited Proof On Main with 4 other colleagues a few days ago and delayed my review so that I could process it all and write the review with all things considered. First, the food. The food was really good and the menu was very nice with plenty of options. We ordered many of the appetizers, we all ordered entrees and we ordered several desserts to share. We also ordered some wine, a couple of cocktails and some bourbon and none of these items were a letdown. The art in the building was very interesting and the bathrooms are a must see (I won't spoil it). So with all of these positives, why would I give it a 3 star rating? We called to make reservations, but they couldn't accommodate us and told us that there's plenty of seating in the lounge. When we arrived, we found out that the lounge was full, but then the staff led us to a couch, some wooden chairs and three very small, very short tables that looked like tree stumps. The tables were at the same level as your knees if you were sitting on the couch and if you were the unlucky one sitting in the wooden chairs, you'll be bending over to get down to your food and you'll be keeping your drinks on another wooden chair next too you, because there won't be room on the tree stumps if you have food too. In addition to this, don't expect ice in your water as they don't do this. You water is served lukewarm at best with no ice. I also had to cut my $51 steak with a butter knife because I had no steak knife nor was there staff around to ask for one. Now, if you're going to just hang out and have some drinks, the couches and tree stumps would be perfect, but for a dinner, I would highly recommend against it. I'm not hard to please, I'm really not, but when you drop $400 (with tip, not exaggerating at all), I believe you should not have to eat your food on tree stumps or in your lap. To make this review as fair as possible, I will say again, that the food was great and my colleagues felt that the food quality made up for the poor seating arrangements. I however, disagree and believe that you should be offered a real table when you're at a fine dining establishment.

Had brunch with the wife at Proof on Main. The food was amazing, I had the Proof Egg Benedict and the wife had the Ham & Cheese. The restaurant is attached to a museum which is free and a trendy hotel. The staff was great and the museum was cool. Check this place out look for the golden David statue and the pink penguins!

Trendy bar with a cool vibe in the 21C hotel and art museum. Loved being able to enjoy a cocktail am while taking in three art. Best old fashion that I've had in quite some time and what else should you expect in this region. Make sure to visit the men's restroom sounds odd but you just gotta

I love Jack Fryes and am a repeat customer. My favorite is the warm Brie salad. You can't go wrong. The atmosphere is very like something from years ago. Great food and attentive service. Parking can be an issue with only limited spaces in the lot.

Incredible steaks , fresh seafood and awesome shareable sides with a premier wine list! Never disappointed here. Outstanding service. Jazz group or piano in the bar Thurs, Fri Sat. I have brought clients from all over the world here. All have loved it! Be ready for a hefty tab though.. but you pay for what you get ! A great
