From our first step in the door, both owners were warm and welcoming. Our table and service was great and the food was phenomenal; as good of a tasting as any fine dining location we’ve been to in Louisville. If I could give them 6 stars, I would. Excellent!
Their food is amazing! Flavorful but yet light! Great date night..
It’s great to see that a classic Italian restaurant still exists in Louisville. The service was polite and intentional, food was outstanding. They were out of a few bottles of wine we were interested in, but that just means they are busy enough.
Veal Chop .. fantastic
Fettuccini con Arugula .. delicious
Smoked Salmon .. perfect
Tiramisu .. decadent
Our waiter, Mark .. charminga true professional
Vincenzo himself cleared our dinner plates!
Excellent, professional, personal customer service.
So, so good
Great food. Staff was very attentive. Their was constantly someone coming by our table, the owner even gave us a 10 second "hope you enjoy your meal" while looking at the table next to us. Which he spent a few minutes talking to as I'm assuming they are regulars. I understand greeting and making your regulars feel at home, but what about the newbies. He was even the one to reheat the food for that table. Regulars keep your doors open, but without the newbies their will not be any bread and butter to feed them. Just saying.
In short, if you're looking for high quality Italian food.. look elsewhere. My co-workers and I went to Vincenzo's for dinner while in Louisville. It's a beautiful building with very interesting history, but it's not a fine Italian restaurant. The food's quality and portion sizes did not at all match the very high prices. We left disappointed and still hungry..
Our waiter (who was also the bartender), was the only positive part of the experience. He was quite busy, but made an effort to talk to us and share some interesting stories and history of the building / area.
Excellent food. Friendly employees. Fancy schmancy. Lovely environment. So expensive. A friend won a raffle for 6 meals at Vincenzo's so we didn't pay.
Everything was excellent, even the owner personally checked in with us. They lose 3 stars for not taking my allergies seriously - when explained clearly. Their denial about ingredients, when asked to recheck with chef, caused allergic response. Luckily, it was not severe, since I didn't eat much. For this caliber of restaurant, this is entirely unacceptable. It was also difficult to retrieve my coat, as no attendant was in place. Otherwise, it is very nice. Although, it is a bit stuffy. Great for those who appreciate the appeal from an earlier time.
Best spicy toca bell hamburger ive ever been havin yall chedk it out for the bust funny times
Very polite and inviting staff all around, the server was very funny and explained everything well. Refills were given every 5-10 minutes and food didn't take long, loved the setting and feeling of dinning in the lovely restaurant. Will be back (:
Excellent table-side service with five star staffing and an excellent Italian menu! Quite elegant and richly ambient in atmosphere.
Valentine’s Day at Vincenzo's was supposed to be magic; rather, it was somehow uncertain and disappointing as I expected to have a more complete and satisfying experience at what is said to be one of the greatest restaurants in Louisville. The staff who received us at the door and the hostess were courteous and smiling all the time, and the wait time was not too long; we actually had reservations for 8:30PM. The music was set at the perfect level where you can have a conversation and still listen to the others, and the atmosphere inside felt delightful. We were then directed to the second/back room, where I supposed they host private parties, and where they had put together more tables to be able to seat more people in. To bring someone to eat a fifty dollars steak was not the main reason I decided to dine here, I was looking for a romantic, beautiful setting that made the night special for me and my fiancée. The tables were folding tables dressed with white table clothes, very unstable, and very cheap looking. Our server took some time to come and take our drink order, and to be more surprised, they can’t make all kinds of drinks because they don’t have the ingredients, sweet tea has to be sweetened by the customer at the table, and refills of water or tea never offered to us during the night. We ordered the Steak they were serving that night and the Lobster Spaghetti, which at least I expected they had more flavor to it than what it did. Steak was not of very good quality, and cooked uneven throughout. My fiancée and I, also wondered why we were the only table not offered the bread and butter they served everyone else, and the lengthy time we had to wait to get our meals. We waited around forty five to fifty minutes to get served our not so tasty meals that contributed to finally ruin the night. I really hope the restaurant is able to correct this issues before is too late, otherwise, clients like us, will not feel invited back to dine at Vincenzo's again.
