I read such great reviews on this location so decided to try it because after moving it’s the closet one to me. as I’ve been a regular at other Primp and Blow locations for at least 2 years now. I went in to get a braid style and I asked the stylist about doing a French braid (it says on their website that they do this) I should’ve just asked for a different stylist but I really didn’t have the time and didn’t want to make it awkward. As soon as I sit down, the very first question my stylist asks me is, “Is this going to be for a winter formal dance or something?” Which I found to be a bit rude to assume, also I took offense as I’ve been out of school for almost 10 years! She then proceeds to tell me how she’s not sure what I mean by “French braid”? It was just an awful experience and I won’t be going back to this location. I can’t believe they would hire someone that unprofessional.

I was in Arizona on a week-long trip for a huge conference this week and I needed my hair washed and styled in the middle of it. I always get nervous going to new places because I have A LOT of hair and it’s thick. So I looked up places and ultimately chose this one. I am so unbelievably pleased with this place. I never write reviews but I feel as though this needed to be done. I walked in and was taken to the wash bowl within 4 minutes and the moment she started washing my hair I knew it was going to be a good blowout. She put so much effort into my hair and I could tell she truly *wanted* it to look good for me. She wasn’t just rushing to finish the job, but she got me out of there faster than anyone ever has. I SO APPRECIATE THIS PLACE. I will be coming back. I can’t remember the girl’s name who did my hair but I would love to give her the credit she deserves. I was in on Sunday dec 19 at 4:55 PM at the waterfront location. 🙏🏻❤️

I had my first visit today and it was awesome! I had the absolute best experience and can’t wait to go back. I had a formal Christmas party this evening and I was lucky enough to have the owner as my stylist. She gave me the exact look I had hoped for and it held up all evening. I felt so pretty! Next time I want to get my makeup done there too!

My stylist was extremely friendly and professional. The salon had a good vibe. I was running late but they did not cut my service short and were very understanding. Would definitely go back next time I’m in town.

I was visiting from out of town to attend a wedding and had a fabulous experience at Primp and Blow Waterfront. Viv did my both my hair and makeup and I was beyond impressed. Would highly recommend this salon and hope I get a chance to go back someday!

I got the best shampoo of my life here, I'm still thinking about it. My blow out was amazing she took her time and my hair looks, smells and feels amazing! Definitely going back if I'm in need of a relaxing day!

WORST EXPERIENCE EVER. Paid for a blow out and make up. First they were running late, then they forget the head massage. Then all they did to my hair was give me ALOT of fly aways, use a dirty nasty brush and make my hair straight. . Don't know why I paid someone to do that! Then waited 45 min for some one to put make up on my face. I have no acne but they layered so much crap on my face it gave me wrinkles! So after looking like a clown with straight simple hair, I went to pay and they said my gift card didn't have anything on it. Thank god the friend who bought it for me was with me, so she had to pull up her bank statement to prove she wasted her money on the giftcard! Then I waited 20 mins at the register for 3 employees to try and figure out what they did wrong.. and then no apology. Would never recommend. 2 and a half hours of my life wasted.

Paid $35 to get my hair curled, and by the time I got home ended up having to curl and style it myself. The staff was nice but $35 to end up having to do my hair myself No thank you. Unfortunately I will not be returning.

Went here for hair and makeup for a wedding. The bride looked perfect, however the bridesmaids' hair fell out while we were still having makeup done. We all went home and pinned our own hair up. The foundation was so poorly matched to our skin tone and wiped off so easily that the slightest touch to anyone's face revealed a completely different color of skin shining through the makeup. The makeup also sunk into every crack, crevice and pore. We had to go home and wash our faces and begin again.

Decided on the spur of the moment to try and get a blow out somewhere for the weekend. My hair is insanely thick, textured, and curly/frizzy and I don't think its ever been this straight or soft before. The girl that did my blow out/straighten was amazing at shampooing (I didnt want it to end!) and was so much fun to talk to. Because of having such thick hair almost all stylists end up burning my scalp from going over a section so many times with the blowdryer and too close with the flatiron and she didnt irritate my scalp once. Amazing job. Will be going again

7/20/13: Had a horrible experience. Came in for my appointment the receptionist was on the phone, patiently waited in a chair after she hangs up with another customer she tells me my appointment was at 5:45 p.m. when it actually was for 6:15 p.m. I tell her this and she lets me know they might not be able to shampoo my hair. I just simply stated I had an appointment for 6:15 p.m. and that I really needed my hair washed. She then starts to argue with me that I came in at 6:25 p.m. I calmly told her I was 3 minutes late. I came in at 6:18 p.m. and she tells me "no you didn't, didn't I just see you walk in?! I couldn't believe it. I just remained seated and waited for the next person to approach me. I was so uncomfortable and unfortunately I really needed my appointment badly. After that I was just on pins and needles. I called the company and left a message to talk to a manager. I never received a returned call. I also filled out their survey and explained the situation and asked for someone to call me and I still never received a call back.
