This school is great! They have uniforms so it cuts down a lot on cost of school clothes but it also cuts down on bullying. Speaking of bullying, this school has ZERO TOLERANCE!!! They also really push the kids academically but they work with them individually based on each of their own needs to help them succeed. Teachers answer their emails in a timely fashion. They keep in contact with the parents and they have a cool thing where you can go online and see what your child is missing and how your child is doing with grades. They have dance, spelling bees, Kung Fu, and concentrate on the arts.
The one drawback--- no sports teams or cheerleading
The only drawback -
In Teachers appreciation week we would like to thank Presido School for the work and effort put into helping our children (Michał and Hanna). They came to the States without a good command of the language. Thanks to the care and support of all Presido employees, our children could feel safe and we could observe their development not only in language. Our children spent 6 months in Presidio and it was an extraordinary adventure for them .We would like to recommend this place to everyone who is looking for a friendly but demanding school for their children.
My son has been at this school for 3 years now and I haven't been disappointed. The staff is outstanding, friendly and always willing to help out you no matter what. They always know the students names as well as the parents and always greet you with a smile. This is a school has been a God sent to me and my child. I am so glad he is at this school. They care about your child education.
Our child is in her 2nd year with Presidio. And both years we have had AMAZING teachers! They take the time to listen to our questions and are very communicative. The front desk is super friendly and always helpful when we need them. Presidio also provides aftercare (for enrolled students) at a reasonable charge which is a tremendous help to us. Love, love, LOVE Presidio!!
My son has been in Presidio School since kindergarten, for 9years and plan on continuing until end of his senior year. He enjoys attending school at Presidio. Presidio teachers and staff are VERY involved with making sure the students get quality education and preparing them for future endeavors including entering college. They go above and beyond helping these students. Presidio education structure is awesome. There are also extra curricular activities after school. We truly recommend Presidio School to ALL parents who want to enroll their child/children into a great learning opportunity education!

Terrible school. DOESN"T EVEN DESERVE ONE STAR. Watched the teacher yank my 5 year old child by the arm, and nothing was done. She was given red lights every day from September until January because the teacher was angry that I reported her to the administration, who by the way did NOTHING. My child was humiliated in front of the class as MS. Bonnie (Kindergaten teacher) told her that she would superglue my daughter's butt to the chair and if she moved then her pants would tear off and everyone would see her butt, which made the other kids laugh and horrified my daughter, who cried quite awhile because of it. The administrators are RUDE, uncaring, and completely without empathy. I cannot tell you how many tears I have shed because of how they killed my daughters spirit. There is no one you can complain to except for the charter holders and they have been far more rude to us than anybody else at the school. They definitely don't like me because I speak up and they treat my baby terribly because of it. After four months my kid was finally moved to another class (after I had a meltdown in the office) and hasn't received a red light since January 19th hmmmm imagine that. DO NOT SEND YOUR CHILDREN TO THIS SCHOOL!!!!!! WHAT A HUGE DISAPPOINTMENT AND MISTAKE. p.s. I have numerous emails from the teacher about the incidents if anyone has further questions about it.
? What is this? What happened to Google?
This is an amazing school in almost every aspect. However, they captured and tortured my little lesbian sister until she turned strait. Now she makes out with every boy and our parents have disowned us. Music is pretty good though.
This school was the worst mandatory 6 year investment of my life. I'm actually embarrassed that I have to say I graduated from this hell hole. I'll list pretty much everything I've seen, experienced, and more below.
1. Favoritism- If you are not on the good side of the staff, they WILL pick you out. The staff (excluding teachers and the front desk staff, who are extremely underpaid and under-appreciated) will grant favors to those who they think seem fit. You can see examples of this in their hiring, process as well. Some students may recall an incident where there was a feud between a student, and a student related to a staff member. Needless to say, no matter the evidence provided, the related student was protected, and the other was expelled.
2. Lack of Material, Staff, and Control- I don't know where the school spent their money, but there was never enough books, enough materials, or enough staff. The school couldn't keep control of their students, if their budget depended on itoh wait, it does! My graduating class was ~12 people. 2 people didn't even show up to the ceremony, and 1 of those people were a 5th year graduate (which is a fairly common thing with this school).
3. No tolerance- This appeals to the same-sex couples. Presidio will try to do what they can to keep same-sex couples from showing affection towards each other. I'm sure many students and parents can testify to that. I'm not sure if this is because of religious, personal, or "professional" reasons, but I do recall a staff member saying this to me, as well as a few other students. "Not in front of the kids. Do it outside of this school." I'm assuming "it" meant expressing themselves in their relationship choices.
4. No Real Classes- Granted a music class where somebody just picks up an instrument and plays with it is fun, where is the learning involved? I learned to read music, and play songs together with my classmates when I was younger. Most of the time, kids in music class did nothing but sit around and play on their phones or watch movies. There was almost never any real learning going on in the class. Also, if you were expecting a PE class, or credit requirementthey didn't have one. I actually graduated without taking any physical activity classes at all. I actually graduated with the amount of credits totaling below what any other public school student would have had to do.
I wish I could continue writing about the personal experiences I had there. How my sister suffered because I personally didn't make it to school on time. Or how they don't have a nurse on staff, and diddled their thumbs around when my little brother busted his head open. They still don't have a nurse to this day. I believe there was recently a picketing about it which I saw on the news, yesterday, 9/10/13. Naturally, Presidio board and staff refused to show their faces to the camera.
If anybody is interested in even more details, feel free to contact me via email. It should be linked to my posting.
This school should be shut downshould have been shut down years ago. I regret even staying long enough to graduate from this "school."
I went to this school from 6th grade to the middle of 8th. I loved this school for the first 2 years because of the teachers and staff. Also for the fact that it was a self-paced curriculum. But during the 2012-2013 year they changed to a college prep school and had let go of a majority of the best teachers in the school. This lowered the quality of the school . I began failing because of these so- called 'good' teachers. There were maybe 4 yeachers that I actually liked As for the rest, well you can be the judge of that.
