Pretty course. The ruff is very rough. The greens are slow.

Great range with lots of targets. Also a very nice short game practice area for chipping, pitching, putting and bunker play. Tom Bernard

The gentleman at the pro shop acted as if he cared less. However the men outside, the starter and cart personal were great very friendly and helpful. Thanks to them and the great work of the grounds people it made my experience great.

We had a horrible time golfing on their Planters Row course. The course should have been closed and not re opened to the public until it was cleaned up from Tropical Storm Julia. Explaining this to the pro was like talking to a little child. He made faces like he didn't believe us, I asked him to hop in a cart and take a look for himself. We also had an Unlimited golf pass and when we asked to play nine more holes he shook his head no. Thank god there was another young man there who told us we could go out on the back nine of Robbers Row. I will never spend another dime there and we take a golf trip every year and love to patronize the local courses. Not sure what was worse the course or the pro?

Second year in a row for disappointing golf from Shipyard/Port Royal golf package. Played Barony course, in good shape and extra challenging, but the course wasn't the issue this time. The course was overbooked and we went out in between stacked foursomes. After completing 3 holes, the golf course sheriff complained we were too slow. Our delay was due to the par 3 challenge benefit for veterans, which we gladly donated to, and the extra foursomes from another course being squeezed in between our tee times. It set the tone for the rest of the round and completely ruined it for me. There was barely enough time to use the bathroom before the second nine holes. If you are looking for a rushed experience on a very challenging course, this is the place for you.

Hidden gem for lunch. Great service and generous portions. They are not open for dinner which is a bit of a disappointment but great for dropping in before or after tennis or golf and only a quick bike ride from the beach.

Friendly helpful staff. The courses we played were very well maintained, challenging yet fun and not overwhelming. The greens are very nice and well maintained, not over or under sized. Played the Barony course twice and Planter's Row once, preferred Barony due to wider fairways. If you're a very straight shooter, Planter's Row is a good course. I agree that refreshments are quite pricey. However, I found the drink cart is quite timely if one tips well ;). Also, my wife and I took a lesson from Brian Tabb and I would highly recommend him. He is very knowledgeable and loves teaching golf. His lesson was very beneficial to my wife and I and the pricing was comparable to others. Everything was better than I expected and I look forward to coming back.
