So I don’t really share my opinion like this but I am really sad. I have been going there for 22 years I remember my first time going there. My dad looked over and told me that the person over there was Larry H Miller And it was lol. I walked over and asked for his autograph lol. But my dad and I sat at the same table we always do all 22 years. And I love - loved this restaurant. 1/2 and 1/2. Always. Is what I got. But I went there with my dad and my two kids tonight Friday 8:30 at night And we was the last ones to leave. I asked my dad. “ hey Dad remember when this place was packed up to closing time”. He said yes. And I said. It’s really sad how things change from generation to generation. I am going to be honest I will always come back cuz I will always remember the old days. But everything there has gone down hill. And the worst thing is my dad who is 80 who has a hard time walking. Was that we were not done eating they had 40 min till closing time and the moped the floor all the way up to our feet. Before we were done eating. It’s really sad. I wish the old man was still around to run it right. I guess the kids don’t have the same passion that the old man had.
When they ask you red or green sauce be careful with your choice because one comes with fire diahrreha and halucanations. Sick all night with the 🔥
Dont bother. Any taco stand would be a better choice. Service sub-par. , food looks like school lunch and tastes like it too.
I was a loyal customer for months because I work just across the street from this place. A few days ago I went to have dinner with a friend of mine. When we were done, the server took our credit cards and after a few minutes he came back saying that they were declined. 10 minutes later he came back to tell us that he had done everything that he could to take our payment but that our cards didn't work, he tried with three different active cards. I asked him if he knew where the closest ATM was and he started losing his patience, then he went to grab his manager and told her that I was being an as***** in Spanish thinking that I wasn't going to understand what he was saying. The manager said that there was nothing that she could do and that we needed to pay (of course, I wasn't planning on not paying or even fighting over two freaking enchiladas). I went to Walgreens to get cash back and paid them. When I came back, I told the server that I wasn't being an as***** and that he should treat customers with respect. His answer was "You knew that you had cash on you and you just wanted to make it more difficult". I just told him that had that been the case, I would've paid with cash. Worst customer service ever.
This place is sooooooo delicious and fresh!: the staff is great and friendly too!! for authentic Mexican food in the Salt Lake City area you have to go to El Farol! :) it's so yummy
They have GREAT Taco Tuesadays$2.00 each. They are tremendous
Too expensive. Small portion sizes. Better choices else where. Will not be returning
I keep going back with a friend who loves the place. But it's not the best Mexican I've had. And sometimes the smell of bleach makes my food taste like it too. Enchiladas (cheese) are what I usually get, along with Cheese on chips to start with - totally out of my normbut I can stomach them. The service is very nice and seating is o.k. not a cozy spot, more like a cafeteria. Prices are o.k.
I feel really bad writing a bad review but I feel completely ripped off. This was the worst Mexican food I've ever had. The value and quality is terrible. $40.00 for an adult and two kids during lunch time. The kids chicken was dried out chunks. The chips and salsa were terrible. Salsa tasted like tomato soup. The tortillas had a freezer taste to them and were dried out. I've never been more disappointed with Mexican food. The staff was nice and the place was not busy, but I can see why now.
Our favorite family restaurant.. service and food is great
