Don't be fooled by the look of the bucket. The seafood isn't filled all the way to the bottom. I would say half way. It was a bit over priced, but overall the food was good.

The Surf & Turf was delicious n flavorful. Also the Lobster Mac n cheese and the Risotto was great. My food wasn't hot enough. Service was great.

I've been to Phillips in Atlantic City many times. It was one of my favorite places to eat. For whatever reason I hadn't been in a few years and thought I would try it again. It has gone way down in food quality! I ordered a special that they were running for a $19.99 surf and turf. My steak had an off flavor and was coated with garlic I think to hide the fact. It was fatty and tough too. My lobster tail was okay but a little dry. The picture for the offer, which is everywhere by the way, even in a big sign on the outside of the mall, shows a much better looking steak and lobster tail with a few asparagus spears. I didn't get any vegetable whatsoever and when I asked I was told that's extra. I did like the crab soup I had. And the restaurant is nice and clean, just wasn't happy with the food this time. Prices are also pretty high depending on what you order.

First dinner on our vacation, and it was so disappointing. Very long wait, but on a Saturday night that can be expected. Service was extremely slow, we waited 15 minutes before our server even came over to ask what we wanted to drink. Then he didn't ask what we wanted to drink, he went right to what we wanted for our meal. We asked if we could get drinks and appetizers first. Our appetizers came out one at a time and by the time I got mine it was cold. Our food took forever, and was marginally good at best. We paid a fortune for our dinner that sucked we will never visit this restaurant again.

Food gets 4*. Just realize where you are and what you're doing.
Service gets 5+*.
We had late lunch yesterday and 3 of us sat in the booth section by the bar. Bar area and booths were quite clean and while close to the kitchen you had there wasn't a lot of noise and it smelled great, and got our drinks fast. Our server Joe was not only prompt, polite, and helpful, but funny too.response / report this review -

The service took forever for our waiter Oscar to do everything (bring drinks, bring check, offer dessert) we were so fed up at waiting we didn't even order dessert. My wife and I both got two different recommended seafood platters. All the food were bland at best. If you are a true seafood lover, go elsewhere. We both are experienced restraint staff. Don't waste your money here.

Their service us horrible, presentation of food is also horrible. Had a party of seven, had to ask for bread,beverages, removal of dishes. Wouldn't recommend at All.Everyone busy doing nothing. I went to the kitchen myself to ask could I have a steak without blood please Never Again
