Great place on St. James Street just off of the boardwalk in Atlantic City, NJ. Food and drinks are reasonably price. The service by Scott, John and Joe was fantastic. It's open 24-7. Great place to visit during the Christmas Holiday because they put in a significant amount of time and effort decorating. I would say the Irish Pub is Atlantic City's 'Cheers'.

If you're looking for an authentic Irish pub in Atlantic City, then this is the place for you. The atmosphere is spot on & has good standard bar food. There's a gift shop as well as an inn upstairs, which I haven't visited. Also throw in the fact that this place was a former speakeasy during the Prohibition Era this is the best old-school bar/Irish pub I've ever been to!

If you get a chance go in here just to see the Christmas lights they're unbelievable. The soup was marginal and they served the sandwich that look like it at two pieces of spam and piece of American cheese in it one bite did need that. I ordered a Reuben with Swiss cheese very good my daughter my daughter ordered a panini it was really good overall I definitely go back

Although the bartender, Dave, had a busy bar on Thanksgiving Eve, he did a great job! Greeted customers as soon as they/we sat down--attentive and professional. When my burger came out well done, he took it back & made sure it was med-rare. Delicious! Definitely recommend & Definitely will be back!

I really enjoy this small Irish Pub. It is one of oldest bars in NJ, if not the oldest. They are cash only. Many locals and tourists keep this place busy every day, especially around dinner time. Last time I was here, a local talked my ear off for over an hour. Really nice, laid back customers. They even have an old school CD jukebox with a good variety of music ranging from Johnny Cash to Nirvana. My only gripe with this bar is that the two older male bartenders are not very friendly and borderline rude towards non regulars. They act as if you have to pay them to smile. This is the only reason why I can't leave them 5 stars. They also have a very limited menu, mostly just corned beef, roast beef, ham sandwiches, mozzeralla sticks, etc The only food on their menu that is actually "Irish" is corned beef. Still, always a fun time here!

Not very handicap accessible. I went in by the bar and I had to park it there, go up a step to the dining room. It's just a few steps, but if you are completely immobile, this place is not for you. I have always loved this place, but as my mobility worsens, there will come a time when I will not be able to visit this establishment. It's a shame that they are able to get away with ignorance to the ADA laws.

This is my second visit. So impressed with the open-faced Turkey sandwich in April; back again. Shepherds pie was excellent. Accompanied by Irish coffee. Yum! Prices are reasonable.Wait staff friendly and quick.

The people are really nice and their wings are good. Our waitress was nice but seemed overwhelmed. we got our check faster than refills on our sodas. She told us cash only after I pulled out a visa. Bring cash unless you want to pay a $2.95 atm service fee. Should be posted cash only on door to be transparent.

Low ceiling. Dim lighting. Bar full of loud laughter. Bartenders even louder. Food served good, hot and greasy, and somehow at prices from 20 years ago. Guinness pulled right, with a perfect cascade. The smell of lager hanging in the air.

If these things sound like a cheap dive to you, then you're right, and should probably waste your money on a much safer establishment. If they sound like home, then come to the only Irish Pub that matters, this side of the Atlantic Ocean. The word legit was invented for this place. If you love to drink and eat until you can no longer do either, you can't go wrong under this roof.

I LOVE this place and recommend it to anyone who wants to be 2blocks away from the ocean!! Very cozy, clean Victorian inn with reasonable prices. Cathy Burke (owner) is extremely nice. The employees from the desk to wait staff are all great!!!

It was a pretty cool place. They have an old school feel to the place. The ceiling is lined with old newspapers and they are aged. Good drink selection.
