  I stopped by one day to get air in a low tire. The owner came out in the cold biting snow storm. Not only did he put air in the tire another tire needed air as well. He proceeded to check all my tires. I ask him about batteries and the price was a bit steep for me as I'm on a limited income. But all in all I'm betting they do a good job.

  I wouldn't trust this place to do anything besides a routine oil change. I've taken my Grand Cherokee in their twice only to have it misdiagnosed by a mile. The first time I have a vibration in the front that seemed like a joint on the driveshaft (full-time 4WD). I took it in there because they are close and I didn't have the time to deal with it myself. I told them specifically that it seemed like the shaft. Phil, the owner, insisted that they change the fluid in the transfer case even though there was $3k, for them to warranty the work/repair. I laughed and told him I was coming to pick up my vehicle and he yelled over the phone "You have a catastrophic failure here". I picked up the vehicle and took it to the dealer. They diagnosed it as a bad ABS sensor up front. Keep in mind the ABS sensor is integrated into the full-time 4WD system. They swapped it out for cheap and guess what? Fixed Phil -2
  
  I believe this shop is way behind the times. I suspect people that don't know any better have issues because of the incompetence. He has the mentality that it's my way or the highway and thinks just because people bring their car that he knows better. Guess what Phil, some people know more than you about certain things but they bring it to you because they simply don't have the time

  Might be good if you have the newest of car. Took a 2004 Ford truck here for a realignment. They refused to do the realignment because there was over a $1000 in "necessary" repairs before they could do it. Checked out what they said needed repaired and found nothing wrong. Decided to go to another shop instead and got my realignment done.

  Highly recommend Phils Auto & Tire. Very friendly staff down to Earth, great prices, comfortable lobby waiting area. They did a great job on my SUV. I will be taking my wife's vehicle here as well for service and maintenance.
  GREAT SERVICE AND GREAT PRICE.
  Very clean and current equipment impressed me. If you are looking for a top knotch oil change like me or giving a car a new life with a new engine. Impressive ASE certified car people that care here.
  Give them a try well worth the short drive for the quality and price.

  Customer service and price. Without a doubt, Phil's Auto and Tire in Carlisle, OH is the best! Phil and his crew will treat you right and you will not beat the price. One visit back in 2012 and I will always be back.
