We love this campground. Close to the heach, quiet, great place. Bring a bike and bike the island.
Amazing little place. We went to see the exotic birds and spider monkeys at the center of the park.
The price is right ,the sraff from front office to the maintenace are very polite, always there to help, last but not least ,Sanibel with bike paths and a flat ocean, no need to explain
Very nicely kept. Bathrooms old, but clean. No fires allowed so you don't get smoked out from your neighbor. Wish they had wifi but many restaurants, do. Couldn't find cable but I don't miss the TV while camping. Bird sanctuary is nice to visit. Biking on this island is AWESOME. The bike trails are gorgeous and cars stop for you at crossings. Very nice lady at check in.
Nice campgrounds, full RV hook-ups, A short walk to the beach, and a miniature zoo type area with exotic birds that will talk to you. Also, aparantly iguanas are very common in this area. A very pretty park.
We vacationed her for many years, loved the Park and the wild life.We would have never found out about Sundial If for not staying here..Back in the day 25 years ago you were able to use the Pool at Sundial if staying at Periwinkle Park..
We camped at Periwinkle Park for three days and two nights and will definitely be back! The park is quaint and quiet with about a half mile walk to the beach and is ten minutes by car from everything else! We had no issues the duration of our stay and the bathroom and shower facilities were very clean. We were worried about the birds being noisy at night but that wasn't the case; they're lively during the day but quiet in the evening. A perfect semi-private set up with both electricity and running water made it a more convenient camping experience. The trailers that are there add to the coastal feel and are colorfully cute! Would definitely recommend to anyone considering tent camping or RV parking on Sanibel!
Must see bird show. Large parrots and other birds. Very friendly atmosphere and laid back. Campsites and facilities are clean and convenient.
We loved this trailer park! The animals seemed fairly happy, I am still curious if they are rescues or not? The staff was nice and helpful and the place was peaceful and relaxing. Also it's not far from the beach if you have a bike or don't mind walking 10 mins. The main drag is also really accessible.
Stayed here last January in a tent site for 3 nights. Simply wonderful! Could walk next door for coffee and sandwiches . Restrooms immaculate . Staff and bird/ animal keepers all wonderful, dedicated and devoted ( on site animals probably the reason there are no dogs allowed which I like) . Not a bad walk to the beach. We left because a bad storm was coming. Hope to go back next year, with a trailer this time !
