I visit this market each time I come to Lawrence from Phoenix, AZ. Always get tomatoes. Friendly and helpful. Enjoy visiting with whoever is in the market. Nothing like Midwest friendly 🙂.

John and Karen go above and beyond to make their place a fun place for kids. We saw butterflies..pumped waterplayed in a tub of corn..made music and shot small pumpkins from a sling shot..and petted the cutest goat and gave the chickens some bread. Entertainment for young and old alike. Thank you for sharing your place with us. It is a must see every year.

Great people, and you can pick your own stuff sometimes. And sometimes you can do pick and they take half and you get half for free. And lots of events to keep it interesting.

My wife and I have bought multiple things at Pendelton's and have always been treated with great courtesy and helpfulness. They have wonderful crops (we've gotten asparagus and mushrooms in the edible category), and we've bought tomato plants which have been very healthy, and we've gotten asparagus crowns and are now growing a bunch of asparagus also. They have always been very informative and helpful with sharing their information about crops and what needs what and when, planting, etc. Great place, friendly people ! !

Pendleton's is run by two of the nicest people you will ever meet. The love for what they do is so evident in their joyous faces. They offer such lovely products, mostlly local and hand made. I went there to pick up a hospital bed for my mom which they no longer needed and they wouldn't accept any payment. They just passed it forward. What great folks! They are having their annual open house this weekend of Nov. 17th. I went last year and it is so much fun. Great barbecue, and those noodle pastries with powdered sugar. A new litter of kittens, too. You should check it out.

Great place to pick your own veggies. I picked asparagus and it was so much fun! I can't wait until more veggies come in season for me and my kids to pick. I'm going back to buy some tomato plants for my garden!

I ordered my wedding flowers from hereand everything was flawless. Karen tailored my flowers exactly to my budget and desired look. Her intuition is amazing and the outcome was even better than I could have predicted. Usually a bride's top complaint is a florist who is wrong or latebut Pendleton's was early and beyond precise. And the flowers were absolutely stunning!
