I went here to get my transmission fluid changed and had previously called them the day before to ask for pricing. The price on the phone was completely different than what they told me when I got there the next day.
After being talked to like I was stupid, I left and went to Nissan (I have a Sentra), and they charged way less. Super shady and if you are a female, I’d highly recommend somewhere else. Not professional at all.

This mechanic was awesome! We had some weird stuff happen with our wipers while driving cross country and after being turned away from Honda dealerships, we were graciously received by this mechanic and had our issue fixed in a jiffy! Our mechanic was very nice and efficient and we so appreciate him taking the time to squeeze us in. 100/10.

I recommend Lawrence Diagnostic and Repair. I've used them 3 times back when I was a delivery driver and each time I was charged less than I expected (though I'm no expert), and felt they were just more genuine than other companies (maybe because they are local, not a chain)

I heard of them from other delivery drivers. drivers always need car repair, so I take the referral seriously, and am happy to leave a positive review

Headlight polishing was affordable and quick.

Asked for a quote to replace the turn signal on my Ford F-150, and was told $450 parts+labor. I bought the part for $35, removed 5 screws with a YouTube video guide, and was done in less than 30 minutes.

I had my headlights "cleaned" along with my oil change this week. Danny did a great job. I was not able to see when driving at night because the outside of the headlights were so foggy looking and now they are clean and clear and looking like new again. It will certainly make driving at night a lot safer.

I've been going to Lawrence Automotive Diagnostic for years because they not only do good work for a reasonable price, they are excruciatingly honest. They once redid a $1000+ repair more than six months after the original work and didn't charge me a penny. I don't give my loyalty lightly; these guys have definitely earned it.

They do okay work in a nice facility but the price is not worth it. The problem is they are hands down the most expensive place in Lawrence to get work done. If you are in a rush and have to get it done they can do it but you will pay a premium. They are consistently 300-400 dollars more than my two regular mechanics for the same parts/work. If you can wait a few days for your regular mechanic who is booked waityou will save a lot of money.

This is a good place for auto service. They have good technology and understand the complexity of today's cars, and the experience to repair older cars too. Along with the ability to repair your car, they recognize that a broken car can complicate your life and they do a good job of doing the little extra to help out their customers. They do a real good job of explaining what is wrong, how the repair is performed, and they hit their deadlines. On the rare instance a unexpected problem arises they call in inform customers immediately, explain the problem what is required to address the issue.

We've been using LAD for almost 15 years. I've never once had a bad experience. Modern cars and trucks are complicated pieces of machinery and repairs can get expensive fast. LAD has always given me the straight story on repairs and if something didn't work, they quickly took it back for another look. They are also fast, considering how many different models they specialize in. Finally, you get what you pay for, meaning, you are paying for their expertise, their track record, and their speed of service. They are NOT Jiffy Lube which gives you a crappy oil change and oversells services you don't need. They are a solid repair shop in the Lawrence community. Word to the folks leaving negative feedback. Danny is the nicest guy around so if you think you've had a bad experience, talk to him. He has always respected me and my wife.

I towed my car here for a diagnostic. They got back to me within the day despite me showing up late in the afternoon. Total diagnostic ran me 60 bucks and some change. I couldn't afford the repairs and they held onto my car until I could get it salvaged. Really helpful and friendly, especially since I was stressed

Their diagnostics are sound and the repairs are very quickly accomplished while keeping costs reasonable. We are impressed at how they keep our older cars running.
