Great place to camp. Highly recommend giving it a try.
Breed restrictions. A few people have posted that they were asked to leave because their dog looked a certain way. Non aggressive dogs are allowed unless they look like or are a pitbull, Rottweiler, etc.
Came for Columbus day weekend. Great large sites. We can walk our kayaks to the river. Cozy and not cramped like the more commercial camp grounds, feels like your own piece of heaven. We will be back for sure.
Best place to camp up north right on river boats offered close to shopping for forgotten supplies
Very clean and welcoming. I've never seen a campground with such clean and well kept bathrooms. I'm very impressed.
The Central Mass Young Marines had a great time camping at Pemi River Campground in Thornton NH. We had a group site that beats all group siteswe weren't put in the fieldwe had an actual campsite for our large group. We went tubing right from the campground when we were ready, there was no waiting and the pick up was as easy as a phone call, no waiting. The campground was very clean and the bathrooms were spotless, not a cobweb to be seen. Showers were hot and free. Pemi River Campground we had a great visit and a great time. We will be back again.
I'm sure the campground is great the bathrooms looked new and clean.. I went there for tubing the river they sent us from the campground told us 3 miles 2 to 3 hours and once we left there we noticed was almost no River flow at all it only got worse as we went on.. we bottom out cause there was not enough water.. it took us 5 hours and the only reason so quick was because we paddled out butts off when they picked us up they were very nice and sorry to hear about the was it went for us no refund was offered they should have never let us go make sure you check the water levels if you plan to go here
Stayed here a few times and the only reason we went back is because the site was right on the river. Jerry, the owner I guess, is terrible. Such a mean person. Drives around on his golf cart and yells at you for everything. Even if you fart too loud. I do not recommend this site unless you plan on sleeping quietly by 8 oclock.
Great campground. Enjoy coming here, sites are large and clean. They have kayaking and tubing available. Right on the Pemi River, looking forward to the spring.
We (as a family!) love camping at the Pemi River Campground. The sites are a great size and with the sand, even if it rains you have great drainage. Electric is at each site and they have a beach where you can either swim or enjoy the sunshine. They offer kayak, canoe and tubingalong with a shuttle service! The store has all of the "things I forgot to pack" and they deliver fire wood to your site. The bath houses are well lit and clean. While dog friendly, they do make sure you are at your site so your dog does not disturb other campers. My kids love biking from our site to the beach and over to the golf course. The owner keeps a great stash of ice cream, so my kid are always smiling and sticky!
The owner is a family man. Yes he has mandatory quiet hours at 10PM, but if you are quiet, you are not made to stop from hanging by the campfire. Overall, we have been camping here every year for the past 6 years. We always make it a part of our summer fun.
If you want a true family experience and to know you will be well taken care of, please do not hesitate to make a reservation!
Clean environment with all the amenities you'll need for any sized camping trip from a single pup tent all the way up to a 5th wheel. Great rates, bathroom and shower areas are available, well lit at night! electric outlets available at every site. There is a great camp store for all of your forgotten needs plus firewood that can be delivered right to your camp. Peaceful at night due to quiet hours, but if you still want to sit around the fire to your hearts content, you totally can. The river is great and they offer kayak and inner tube rentals to float down the river and will drive you up the river and you do the rest. SO MUCH FUN!
It has an amazing old railroad bridge. for those of you who are daredevils, you can take the plunge into the water below, everyone always has a great time.
Recommended to anyone who simply wants to get away for a weekend, or spend a summer with their 5th wheel in the heart of New Hampshire!
Good spot, lots of shaded campsites, very popular with the RV crowd. Owner/operator is a yeller.
WORST CAMPGROUND EVER!!! Went there for Labor Day weekend and did not enjoy the stay. During the day everything seems fine. We went swimming, there was tubing for the kids, a little train track bridge where you can jump off into the river but, when night start to fall the owner would drive around on his golf cart harassing us even before quite time which is 10pm. He would come to our campsite and nitpick about everything. At some point I don’t think he even wanted us there. I truly believe we were being singled out because we were not regular campers or white. The owner was extremely rude, unreasonable and probably even racist. The campsite we were at was next to the highway and you can hear the cars go by. Would not recommend this campsite to anyone!
