Thanks Giving dinner at "The Peaks"
Nice ride on the tram to the top of San Jacinto Mountain, great views while enjoying a Turkey dinner with all the trimmings.
Enjoyed an after meal walk on top of the Mountain.
Kind of weird. There's a fancy sit down side and a pay at the counter (hospital style) side. Either way expect to be charged out the wazoo. The views up there are breathtaking though! And the tram ride was quite the trip. Gift shops kind of suck maybe it was just the slow season though. Worth checking out
Excellent food a bit pricey but big helpings and service was passing but not great. Had trouble getting drink refills and say waiter maybe 3 times during entire meal.
Service was excellent. Food was over priced and not hot when it came to the table. Sorry, but $40 dollar steaks have a certain amount of expectation that come with it. Horrible failure. If you want to dine in the mountains and enjoy a scenic view this place is great. Temper your expectations for the food though. Think airport restaurant or nice amusement park meal. The drinks, sadly, were better than the meal. I'd probably try the cafeteria next time and stick to the bar. Either way we would go back and if you haven't tried it you should at least once.
Was quiet here when we visited. Good food and price. Service was so accommodating.
Didn't initially expect much given the tourist nature of the location but this place has good food and great views. Very happy with our choice.
Went here on our honey moon and loved it. Great food and great service. Can be a little pricey but what do you expect from a place with such a wonderful view.
Good food. My boyfriend got the burger and he loved it, the fries were great too. I got the steak and asked for it medium well and it came medium - rare, medium at best. It was still so so good that I ate everything I could. I let the waiter know just so he could let the kitchen know. It was close to closing time so they might have rushed the steak a bit. The manager still wanted to give a discount even though I declined it when the first offered it. Would definitely come again cause the food was so good.
It was great. Not fancy. But the waiter, Robert I think, was very accommodating to my gluten free needs and giving us an extra I've cream for my son that didn't want to have lunch. My burger was cooked a true medium-rare.
Great food, friendly staff, a bit pricey
My husband and I came here and glad we did. Breathtaking views on the way up on Tram and awesome views from restaurant. Food was great and staff was very polite. Very busy, we got in right away but I can see why they suggest reservations.
The atmosphere is incredibly beautiful. The food is delicious. The servers are gracious and attentive. You will Enjoy a relaxing meal in a beautiful place.
There is limited seating so make reservations, it's easier. We did go one time without reservations and had to wait about 30 minutes which was ok, there's a bar and we bought some prepackaged hummus and pita chips at the cafeteria (between the bar and restaurant) while we waited. All the food was cooked perfectly - slight crunchy vegetables, moist chicken and meaty meatloaf (not brick like heavy, but moist and meaty). I was a little confused on the two different sauces in the chicken dish. The one on the chicken was a BBQ type sauce (slightly sweet) while the bottom sauce was a spicy red sauce and a lot of it. It would have been fine with just the BBQ type sauce - I would have ordered the spicy sauce on the side had I known - they just didn't go together. Sitting on the upper seating area is definitely the best seating I'm my opinion. The tables above are only for two people - but it's a much better view.
I'm really lost for words.
The ride up left me speechless, the view at the top was incredible, then to top it off we took in the sunset over an amazing meal at Peaks Restaurant!
Don't question it, just do it! You won't be disappointed.
