Despite having an uneventful, if short, in-office experience at Peachtree Dermatology, I will no longer visit this practice. I stated my allergy to medicines containing sulfur in my paperwork and during the consultation, yet Dr. Law prescribed me a $44 face wash containing sulfur — leading to what I later recognized as an allergic reaction, rather than “purging” as I initially suspected. Additionally, because neither Dr. Law nor her associates provided instructions for using the face wash, I continued with my usual skincare routine which includes active ingredients such as those contained in retinoids. Within a week, my skin barrier was completed disrupted. My face, neck and ears slowly turned red, became dry as a bone, itchy and broke out in tiny bumps (really resembling baby acne) where there were none before. As soon as I identified the cause — the face wash being the only change introduced to my regimen during this time — I immediately stopped use. Over a week after stopping, my skin remains *parched* and so horribly irritated. I was also prescribed an oral medication and will not be using it because, again, I was not given any instructions or warnings except by the pharmacist at CVS. Normally, I diligently research any product or supplement, but I usually trust that doctors have better information than I do. Hopefully in time I can repair my skin barrier for less than the $44 I spent on this ill-advised face wash.
I had the worst experience with Dr. Law. She injected an over abundance of Botox in my face in places I didn’t even request. I asked for a small slight lift of my right eyebrow and she injected so much Botox in my forehead above it which you never should do above the eyebrow that you want to lift. She caused severe drooping of the entire right eye and brow. My face is completely off balance now. I had to cancel a job interview. As well, she injected too much Botox in my chin which she said would help with over movement when I talk. It migrated into the muscle around my mouth and now my smile droops on one side. That’s an area you have to be very careful to only inject a small amount. 18 units in the chin is unheard of!!! I will never go to this practice again! My smile is crooked. Its uncomfortable to speak as my entire mouth moves awkwardly now. . She did all of this in 5 mins. Took off her gloves and quickly left the treatment room. NEVER AGAIN. This is the worst experience I’ve ever encountered .
My daughter went in for a treatment. Two days after the treatment her face , head , and eyes were swollen. I wasn’t warned that this may happen until after it happened. We saw the PA but after this happened we ask to see a doctor. The doctor came in for 2 minutes and apologized and said everything would get better. This has been a very traumatic experience for my daughter.
I saw Dr Sturm today. His bedside demeanor and personality was so caring and patient. I've yet to experience such a humble physician in my 30 years, he went so far as to figure out the best course of action for me with a balance of best treatment combined with my budget medication wise. His team, Ashley and the front desk were all awesome. Not to mention that the office is gorgeous. Highly recommend. For this practice to be so prestigious talent/education wise- everyone is so friendly :)
Dr. Law is the very best, polite, caring and concerned Doctor! Her staff and nurses are so happy and courteous to me. I am so glad there are still great doctors who care about their patients! Praise God!!
I visited Peachtree Dermatology today for the first time and it wasn’t a good experience at all. I saw Dr. Christine Law and I DO NOT recommend her at all. Firstly, she was rushing along the whole entire time. She probably spent 5 minutes talking to me, if that. Secondly, she was prescribing me all of these random medications and face washes with no background information whatsoever. Her “Assistant” or whoever was rude. I had more questions about my skin and she said “your visit is about eczema”. So you mean to tell me I can’t ask about a concern that I just thought about? I paid a $50 copay for NOTHING. I’m so upset. Peachtree Dermatology was a HUGE disappointment, I won’t be returning.
And a bonus. Parking was a whopping $8 for all of 5 minutes I talked to the Doctor.
(Note: Dr. Law spent less than 5 minutes with me each visit; typical wait time is 45 minutes from my experience. I also made an effort to arrive 5 minutes early.)
I recently had an appointment to have her review a suspicious mole on my left foot. She indicated she would perform a biopsy and her office would contact me regarding the results. Within a week I was contacted by someone from her office informing me that they had my results. The explanation of the results was not communicated effectively, nor clearly to me, but I was instructed to have outpatient surgery as soon as I could. I did not like the explanation provided to me and asked for the results to be mailed to me and for Dr. Law to contact me and help better explain to me. Dr. Law did not contact me, nor were my biopsy results provided to me.
Two week later, I called again requesting a clear explanation of my results and to understand why I was being told to have as quickly as possible. Again I was told Dr. Law would not make herself available for a quick discussion, nor was there any clearer explanation provided to me of the results. The gentleman I spoke with insinuated I already had the lab results and a second attempt would be made to mail me the results. I finally received the results for the first time later that week
When I asked for a clear understanding as to whether I should have the surgery, the gentleman I spoke to indicate he could not give me medical advice, but again, he said it was in my best interest to have outpatient surgery.
This is not an acceptable way for any doctor's office to behave. I will be no longer utilizing her office's services.
If not for going back to see Dr. Law for my follow up after a questionable mole removal, I would have rated this office lower. Dr. Law is very thorough, professional, and allows time to speak with the patient. My initial appointment was with a PA whom did not have great patient care and allow for questions. I felt just like she just wanted to rush through the appointment.
I'm glad to hear they are getting a new office next year! Their current office is very outdated and has an unpleasant odor.
I had the most wonderful experience at Peachtree Dermatology Associates. The staff excels at grand hospitality and customer service. Dr. Wright listened to all of my medical concerns. Addressed all issues and delivered sound advise with an affordable treatment plan. Dr. Wright's expertise with anti-aging is unparalleled. My overall impression of Peachtree Dermatology Associates exceeded my expectations. I am honored to have such a wonderful medical team who really cares!
Ewa Rooney and her Medical Assistant Juliette are TOP NOTCH!!! I am always happy and seen on time. Ms. Rooney is professional, knowledgeable and takes GREAT care of me at each visit. I am very pleased with her services and would HIGHLY recommend seeing her, its also much easier than seeing the Doctor, then you have to wait! Her assistant Juliette is so wonderful! She remembers me each time, we have lovely chats she is priceless, and a huge asset to the practice!!!!!
I have been seeing the PA Tracy and she has been fantastic. She was great about hearing my concerns and offering a workable solution. They also have a range of products at a range of prices.
Amazing dermatology office located conveniently off of 75N in buckhead. My ear split, and they were able to repair it in no time. I will be back wearing earrings thanks to Dr. Richard Sturm. He and his team of nurses are friendly, welcoming and always there to answer any questions I have throughout the process. Don't miss out on the opportunity to receive their fabulous care!
PA Rooney is the first medical person who actually ran a skin test in all the many years I have been seeing a dermatologist. I was reluctant at first to see a PA, I really wanted to see Dr. Wright .My dermatology old dermatology office Dunwoody Dermatology cancelled my appointment last minute due to a buy-out and my doctor was no longer with them. I was happy I got to meet PA Rooney and not have to wait months for an appointment. She is very nice, she doesn't rush and she is really trying to get to the bottom of my issue. I am grateful to be her patient.
Appointment at 10.50. I arrived at 10.30 and filled all the required papers. I was accommodated at 11 and told to get undressed that the doctor would have been with me shortly. I waited (half naked) until 11.30 when I decided to leave. No one showed up between 11 and 11.30 to let me know they were running late. I lost 2 hours. Poor poor service.
UPDATE: The doctor called me to apologies.
I with ALL of the reviews about the office staff being rude and incompetent and NEVER have been on time EVER! I really like my doctor but I do not like this clinic AT ALL.
I received a certified letter from the office recently regarding a biopsy I had done on a mole in late 2015. The letter frightened me because it was certified and it also stated that the office tried to contact me numerous times which is not true. Since the biopsy, I have not received a letter, phone call, nor an email regarding this matter. During the process of booking the appointment I had left numerous messages with the staff which were either not returned at all or returned many days after. I went in today for my surgery to have the rest of the mole removed. The doctor explained nothing to me about what was happening. I got more information about what was going on with my situation from her nurse than I did from her. instead of informing me about what was happening during the procedure she chose to talk about her ski vacation with the nurse. The only good thing about this appointment was her assistant. I am a very easy patient so i'm not sure how they continue to get patience with this type of bedside manner. After my follow up appointment I will never use this office again. I wish I had read the reviews before I had made the initial appointment. To top it all off I paid eight dollars to park for an hour long appointment. I would not refer this office to anybody.
All about the quick fix and selling their services, they don't really care about what's best for the person in the long run
Wonderful first visit here. I was impressed with the level of care the entire staff provided. Everyone was very friendly, efficient, and knowledgeable. My Dr. took the time to actually listen to my concerns (unlike many other dermatologists I've gone to in the past) and started me on a treatment plan that's already working. I'll be returning here from now on for all of my skin care needs.
My appointment was at 9:30. It's 11:15 and I'm still in the waiting room. They don't even seem to care at all. Totally unacceptable. What's the point of even making an appointment? I will certainly never come back, and I recommend others find somewhere- anywhere- else to go.
