Great food, great service, great timing. Be sure to arrive super early, like a little before it opens, if you don't feel like waiting forever. Obviously the pizza is just great, can't go wrong there. The owner Paulie Gee himself will likely come out to greet you at some point during your stay and ask you how everything was. Very charming old man.

Best pizza I ever tried. And I'm a foodie. Service is excellent. We got to meet the owner and he asked about our food. Amazing place and vibe. But get there early it gets packed very fast.

Hands down the best Neapolitan styled pizza I've ever had. I drive almost an hour from Westchester to enjoy this pizza. I tell everyone I bring that this is the best pizza they'll ever have and time after time their expectations are blow out of the water. Yes the lines can be long sometimes, but put your name down and grab a drink from the wide selection of draft beers or go walk along the water front and out onto the 200 ft peer that puts you so close to Manhattan that you can almost grab it.
One time I visited Paulie Gee's with my girlfriend and she wanted to try Ricotta Be Kidding me, but they were out of sausage. Our waitress suggested we try it with the Vegan sausage. We were reluctant to try it, but gave it a shot and oh my goodness Vegans you have it good here. The Vegan Sausage didn't even taste Vegan, it was that good.
You can tell the owner Paulie loves what he does as he happily walks around from table to table to converse with his customers and makes sure they are enjoying themselves.
I recommend bringing a few people with you so you can sample more of the menu because everything is top notch and flavorful.

Outrageously cool space completely ruined by loud and obnoxious but "hip" "pizza lovers". You guessed it! That does not make above mediocre pizza great. In fact quite the opposite!!! Pie prices are fair (pizza), drink prices a tad above fair, service is good and fast, music selection actually pretty great, but at a level that could be perceived as downright torture (fully aware that some New Yorkers find this completely normal). Add a terrible crowd on top and you got an almost cliche NYC nightmare-subway-ride like scenario where the only thing on your mind the entire time is: I need to get the f$$$ outta here!!!! Now!!! Just let me go!!!.

This place is amazing. Great ambiance, really good music, and a good draft beer selection. And of course, the pizza is legit. It’s as close as I’ve had to real Neapolitan pizza. Puffy on the edges, and thin and delicate in the middle. And the toppings are interesting combos that work together. One of the best pizzas in NYC.

My friends and I have been coming here for a few years now and rarely do they disappoint. Set in a quieter side of Greenpoint, Paulie Gee's serves great thin crust pizzas. They've gotten so popular that waits for 30-40 minutes aren't unusual. Despite the sometimes lengthy waits, once you get seated, service is prompt and the food comes within ten to fifteen minutes. If you're unfamiliar with the ordering, the wait staff will patient explain their style of pizza and make suggestions and beer/wine pairings as well. My personal favorite is the hot honey meat pizza and the spinach arugula pie. Their desert pizza is also pretty awesome so don't forget to leave room.

Great brick oven pizza an atmospheric warehouse in Greenpoint. Service is always friendly, good selection of beers, wines, and cocktails. Paulie usually stops by to say hello which is great too. Be prepared to wait.

Just no. Paulie Gee's tries so hard to be something it is not. Just make a good pie! Instead, they have displayed a sorry attempt at a "flat bread" that will leave you hungry and disappointed.

Three of us shared a salad and three "pizzas," along with some beers, which were the only good thing about the experience. We were so dissatisfied, we had to go around the corner afterward and order some slices at Franklin.

Additionally, the host couldn't care less about doing her job, the wait staff do not know the meaning of service, and there was an annoying old man (the owner?) pestering us throughout our "meal," and you will leave wondering where the value is in what you just paid for.

All in all, I will never return, and I will never recommend it to anybody whose evening or dining experience I care about.

I've had better in California.

The atmosphere is so cozy and seems like old bar in 19th centuries. They don't take any reservation or delivery order, but you're gonna find that restriction is for accordance of the quality of food. Their pizzas are so good and every ingredient feels so fresh, and as I mentioned above, the pizza taste the best when it's just come out. If you are a pizza lover, you must visit this place. However, they always have a wait, but the bar seats are first come, first sit, so no worries.

A classic, though the cheeky pies break the mold. Neopolitan style, but not so saucy that it sags in the middle of a slice. Sometimes wish that they had a few more classics (pepperoni, anyone?) but I respect Paulie's decision and they do have some really fun modern variations and the dedication to top quality is undeniable. I don't fault them for any of the things people often complain about, like the wait or no slices or takeout. It has more integrity for not compromising on some of those things.
