We have been to Parker for years and the food and service has been great till this evening. I ordered a glass of Pinot noir and it was borderline as far as longevity. When I questioned the bartender on it he said “it’s the Parker Pinot and we sell many bottles, this was opened 2hrs ago!” I actually ordered a bottle of the Parker Pinot to compare at the bar and the new bottle was good! When I told him about the discrepancy he said maybe the other bottle was corked and that he said he offered me a “different” glass of wine. I said if it wasn’t for Covid you could taste what I’m talking about and he replied “I don’t know anything about wine”…..the discussion deteriorated from there and as he left me he made a comment about me being a sommelier which was completely inappropriate. I hope to return but I feel there are too many good restaurants in the New Haven area to support such service
Great atmosphere and staff super friendly. Food always solid
Great food, relaxing atmosphere, prompt service. Ate there twice in one week!
Visited as a tourist and had a great meal. Seated immediately by friendly staff who checked in several times during our meal. We ordered appetizers and entrees. Very good food, good price and great service.
We’ve been to Parker’s before. The food was good and we believe in supporting our local business’. On our second visit we where seated immediately since the restaurant was empty. We waited about 15 minutes and were served water. After waiting another 10 minutes I went to the bar to ask the bartender some questions about the menu since there was no one else in sight. She and I walked back to the table, she answered our questions and went back to the bar. We then waited another 10 minutes or so and no one came to wait our table. Mind you, there were no customers in the restaurant. Another couple showed up after and were seated on an adjacent table. Still no one came and so we decided to leave. I doubt we will return.
Love this restaurant!! Got grilled cajun salmon over sautéed spinach!! Yummy!
This place was recommended when my wife and I were looking for more local cuisine ever since our son was born. I must say, this place is exactly as it was described. It is the last place you would expect to find a nice restaurant. It feels like a New Haven Restaurant in a Stratford strip mall. The food was good. I would recommend the fish tacos for an appetizer and the prime rib (the horseradish sauce was excellent). The calamari and tuna tartar were just okay, and surprisingly, the french fries were the worst part. I will definitely be coming back to try more things on their menu
Ended up in Hospital-friends sister with no known seafood allergy ended up in ER from poorly prepared mahi-mahi. Officials notified. BE WARNED
Good food, good atmosphere. Pear and Goat cheese pizza was really good. Good IPA on tap also.
I love this place! Food is always great! Make your own salad and the calamari are my favorites but I've tried just about everything and have no complaints. Atmosphere is cozy. Staff is always friendly.
Nice flair and atmosphere, great service and drinks 😉
Food is very good. Like the atmosphere and ability to build your own salad. However the chairs are the most UNCOMFORTABLE seats I have ever experienced!!!!!!
Casual dining with an upscale flair and excellent service.
Solid food and lovely atmosphere. The service was excellent.
Good selection of "American up-scale casual" comfort food and chops.
Tasty yet priceya fair tradeoff.
