The hotel is one of my favorite places to visit. It has recently changed ownership and had rebranded as vanllee resort. The new company seems to be following through with much needed repairs to the property and rooms, which have been aging very poorly the last few years. But the grounds are beautiful and staff is very friendly and helpful.

I been here several times, its a classic old mission style hotel.
Personal is very friendly, the latin lady and her daughter are the best at the front desk, the older lady with hands full of rings make me wait all the time for a room claiming checking its at 3pm, but the latin ladies always say, dont worry I'll give you a room now. Unfortunately I dont remember their names. ( this time I didnt saw the rings lady aroud tho ) the maids and maintenance personal are great, if something is wrong with my room they always come like in no time ready to help me. the new management did rise the prices a big deal. this past days I had to pay 287 dollars a night, I like it here and got no other choice, for me it worth. but still is too much money. before the most that I paid was like 140 or so.response / report this review -

Arrived at 9:15pm for a single good night's sleep and looking forward to a hot tub before tucking into fresh high quality sheets - NOT. Was told the hot spa was not hot, told the pool was closed, and the sheets were a cheap quality, rough, and over soaped. Not really a pleasant stay. The room was quiet and clean enough. Bed was just so-so in comfort but those sheets were very poor. Cheeping out on sheets is just cheep.

My experience was at the cutting edge point meaning my room was smelling mold, but soon after I addressed the issue they switched me to a much better room., the breakfast however was okay not the best but I look the other way , using foam plates and foam cups wasn't a good thing but I kept it to myself., oh well
Jacuzzi was broken the pool was freaking freezing., if you saints out there can tolerate and keep your mouth shut then this a good place for you.. lolresponse / report this review -

Facilities were very clean. Staff was helpful, and friendly. The bar was excellent. If you are attending a social event, be warned the parking is somewhat limited and there is not much street parking close to the hotel.

I've been to this hotel many times. It is a favorite of ours. This visit was barely average. There are many things in the facility that are in disrepair. They are working to update the rooms, but my room this last trip was finished. There was no TV in the front room but the wiring was exposed, the outlet cover was missing and the bar top counter had not been replaced. The was an old-style non-functioning TV along with a brand new flat screen TV in the bedroom. On the bright side, the bed was a brand new sleep number bed and was very comfortable. The staff is always friendly and helpful. I will return again, I just hope all renovations are complete when I do.

This hotel is nothing like it is describe. It is run down and dated. I was gonna stay there two days and checked out after the first night. I got stuck in their elevator because it broke and it's full of carved graffiti. I do not recommend this place to anyone when you arrive the front of the hotel is really nice until they send you to the other side of the hotel where it looks like you entered the ghetto. When we arrived to the hotel there was police cars and swat truck parked outside should of set red flags off for me.
