Everything was delicious. A great pick for a Sunday lunch with the family.
My husband had the beef ribs and we both say..best beef ribs this side of the Mississippi!! The brisket plate was also exceptionally incredible. Everything we had was great, jalapeño cornbread, fries, chili beans. This place is a must try.
One Star Ranch did catering for our company, and we absolutely loved it. They came and set everything up for us (serving utensils, cups, everything) and the food was delicious as always. We'll definitely keep using them!
I wish I could give them zero stars. By far the most disgusting restaurant I've ever been to. There are palmetto bugs and dead flyes everywhere, and the worst part, the employees don't seem to care. The food is decent, I've had better. This place needs to be shut down!
I have not been to Texas, neither I am particularly fond of Texan stuff, but oh my god lightly-smoked, char-grilled beef ribs!!! I don't even bother ordering anything else, I bet you can cut the meat with a spoon if they gave you one. These things just melt in your mouth. Heck I just ate and I am salivating by thinking about them. Great margaritas as well, make sure to order them with tequila reposado 100% agave, with ice, not iced. Your digestive system will be in eternal gratitude for your kindness
about 25 years ago, this place was known as, "Texas State Line". After that, it was called, "The Rib Ranch". Now it is, "One Star Ranch". But, a few things have stayed the same. The tin roof, the dollar bills and license plates on the walls (although they are taken down every couple of years to make room for more), the beef ribs. the blues and twang being played thru the crappy speakers, and Frank, the owner. My family has been coming here since before I was born. It is the last remaining confederate drinking post in the down town area of the sprawling 5.5 million population metropolitan streets of Atlanta. The beef rib plate, with Brunswick stew and jalapeno corn bread for sides, is worth it's weight in gold. Yes, even with the current gold prices. You may not have a gal bladder when you leave, but it will be worth the experience. One Star Ranch, this little tin shack, is truly an amazing experience. I remember when I was little, there was a sign on the front door that read, "No ties allowed"/ waitresses would come around with a pair of scissors and cut off men's ties, and tack them up on the walls with the license plates and dollar bills. Frank got sued, and that practice had to stop.
