Wonderful place to go. My friends and I go there once a month to catch up. Happy hour is great, Noel, is our server and always is gracious and fun yet professional. I highly recommend the food and drinks.
Great service, cozy dimly lit dinning room and bar.
Food is excellently prepared and presented many vegetarian items. We had the Spinach enchiladas (yum) and the Avocado salad with beets, carrots, Manchego pickled onions and a light oil and vinegar dressing.
The flan was a bit firm rather than light n fluffy. But good flavors.
Good ambience, and margaritas ❤ but for being a traditional Mexican restaurant in Socal the dishes could be better in terms of flavor.
The food was good. The service was amazing & accomodating. You can't reserve in advance, but they can accommodate large tables of 10+
I have lived in Los Angeles for over ten years and in the Valley for the last two years. I finally made it to the famous Casa Vega. Great place to meet for business luncheons or an after-work wind down. I held back one star simply because I ordered a skinny margarita and was served a house margarita instead. It was delicious though and I ended up having two. Sometimes the server just brings what I think he may be hearing instead of what you actually order.
Better than last time I was there, more lighting and definitely they need a new hostess, food is great! Keep it up.
Love the atmosphere. Quiet, calm, and nice ambience. Staff is very nice. Love the food and more love the drinks.
For being such a popular restaurant they always seem to be under staffed. Also the same staff has been working at Casa Vega for many years, I think most of them need a paid vacation or a new career. The food is good but the margaritas are better.
Never would have found this place without our concierge. It was a great suggestion! We loved the food. I highly recommend the lobster enchalatas!
Great food and Service. A little pricey but I guess that's LA
Great costumer service, good food, very cozy place
For being such a popular restaurant they always seem to be understaffed. Also the same staff has been working there for many years, I think most of them need a paid vacation or a new career. The food is good but the margaritas are better.
Dark and authentic, this is exactly the place I wanted it to be, and so much more. Staff that seems to have been working there for decades, decor and setting that is so old it is new again, and food that is genuinely delicious and served on fire-hot plates. They recently revamped their menu and have many interesting and delectable cocktails. This is a great spot for a date or special occasion.
Been here twice, it is expensive and totally not worth the money. It is very dark and gloomy inside, I know it is supposed to be romantic but it is not romantic at all, it is creepy, specially since the place is so small and all tables are stuck together so you have no privacy and might be 2 inches away from a bunch of strangers. Their food is 4 out of 10, their drinks are 6 out of 10 and service is 3 out of 10. Both times there I have never seen any of their employees smile, they all look sad or angry all the time! Also it costs $5 to park at the restaurant and there is almost always NO empty parking spots on the streets in that area.
