Price: $74 for two adults? Hold on, that doesn't include any free gifts or anything? You mean its an ADDITIONAL $20 per person for a guided tour of the Horton Musuem onsite? So when I go to one of 10 houses I'm allowed to enter with these tickets - if the guides don't feel like talking, don't feel like divulging information because they're having a bad dayI get what in return? A lot of the history is amazing. The African American Church history in particular was incredible as well as the male guide giving us the tour. But it wasn't worth $74 for an hours worth of time. We even had 2 buildings that were closed (Shoemaker and one other building). No reduced price? Winklers bakery has gone downhill in the last 10 years now that cookies are made in a factory somewhere (and taste as much). We won't be back.

Very nice visitor center. Helpful staff, nice gifts in the gift shop and nice little restaurant. Best place to stop before visiting Old Salem.

First time visiting Old Salem for a School field trip. There’s so much to see and a lot of history that I didn’t know of Salem. Their bakery store is the place to visit if you got a sweet tooth 😋

The Old Salem Historic District is always an afternoon pleasure. With fall approaching, the walk is relaxing, the smells of the flowers are intoxicating, and the people, like always are so friendly.

Very clean and organized. Well kept. The staff is always friendly and helpful. The educational opportunities are great: a movie that plays, books, signs, and historical displays, and others. I recommend stopping by here, especially if it's your first visit to Old Salem.

Boring. Run by old farts and costs 27$ for a ticket to visit some of the old houses. Not worth buying one or going there.

This place is a more interactive Williamsburg. While not as historic is Williamsburg it is very interesting and well worth a visit. The working Craftsman exhibits are excellent.
