Food is great and service is even better! We weren't sure about bringing our two year old here but it worked out. The atmosphere is definitely worth checking out.

Food was well prepared and service was attentive. Dining room seating area is dark and a bit tight but atmosphere improved by a cozy fireplace. Try the daily specials.

When we first started going to this restaurant 3 years ago we would rave about the food and service. This past year each time we leave, we have regrets about what we ordered. Before I had three dishes I could order and always be more than satisfied. Unfortunately now the only item on the menu trusted is the lasagna. Tonight after taking my son to dinner his $27 steak ordered medium was so raw you could barley cut into it and my crab stuffed orange roughy was under cooked. The last two visits there was a disturbing smell near the restrooms. The Market house truly has good service and atmosphere if only they can find a deserving chief and eliminate the odor.

Excellent food. Fast, friendly service, and a very nice ambiance. Nice variety of American and Italian. (Try the homemade pasta!) Well worth the short trip downtown, and a delightful change of pace from the sameness of the chain joints.
