Sorry guys! I really wanted to like this place.but nope! I think one star is too much! From the beginning, our waitress gave us the impression that she was just putting up with us!
For service: The worst! When we first sat down, we waited forever to get a glass of water even after the waitress got our drink orderand then at the completion of our mealwe waited so long to get our check, after finally drawing attention to our waitress that we were all set here!
For the food: the appetizers seemed like reheated stuff out of the freezer, my shrimp was served to me on a porcelain plate with a large chip in it, & the Italian wedding soup had very little flavor! Crazier yet, my husbands salad was literally floating in the vinaigrette dressing. He couldn't even finish it because of the huge liquid pool it was in! Upon mentioning this to the waitress, she just blew me off, and said, "oh sorry guys!" No attempt to accommodate him with a fresh new edible new onehe left half of it there, having lost most of his appetite by this time.
Hmmm. Don't think we shall return! The atmosphere is dimly lit and dated, while the voices of loud obnoxious guys talking at the bar spilled over into the tiny dining room area. I'm not entirely sure what's going on here, but let me save you the bother of wondering yourself! I would classify this place as full of crusty locals who don't have any other choice nearby or first timers who are so unsuspecting as to what they shall encounter!response / report this review -

BEST perch in the area! My husband grew up in Montague. We currently live in Florida. When we make our yearly visit to see family, a trip to O.C.I. is a must. We can't get lake perch in Fl or Ma where we lived before, so when we are in Mi, we have at least one perch meal a day. Tonight's perch was PERfect! The restaurant is quaint, dimly lit and loud. Service was fine.

Wife and I ate here on our anniversary weekend in late September. Staff were welcoming and food was fine. Place was packed and we arrived without calling ahead.

Bland, mediocre and overpriced. The rib dinner was barely big enough for a snack. The walleye was bland. I think this place is still open only because there is no other competition.
