Very nice place to stay. Staff and owners are very nice and helpful. They do a wonderful job. And are very understanding.
Perfect. Location for summer stay. very well kept. Nice housekeepers as well as owners!!! All around a Great place 😁
Great little place to stay. Awesome price near a cool little town and the waterfront. Highly recommended.
For the price, it's hard to beat Nader's combination of amenities and location. The pool is decent, there are barbecues sporadically placed that you can use at will -- and most of them still have their ignitors! The insides have been recently updated, although there are still some odd irregularities -- one look at the bathroom ceiling vent is all you need to see. There's no fitness room that I know of, and obviously no breakfast. But it's still where we always stay. A 10 minutes casual walk to the beach, and 15 minutes to the downtown area. I highly recommend giving this place a try.
Don't believe the naysayer reviews you read about this motel. Some people just love to complain online because no one else wants to listen to them! This was our first stay at Nader's and everything was exactly as advertised: clean, comfortable, convenient, and well-maintained. The young couple who now owns and manages the property are doing a wonderful job, in our opinion.
Awesome motel. Fun games and pool in the courtyard. Also a community room for but group dinners and late night games
We've been going to Ludington for years and have always heard people rave about Nader's. We had an event over the weekend with a lot of people coming into town, so we thought it'd be great to have everyone stay there. The whole process of holding/booking rooms for guests was a hassle with management; not getting phone calls returned, having our rooms given away, overall very poor customer service, it really was a bad experience with the management/owners. When the weekend got here, the problems continued. A number of our guests were treated poorly, talked down to, and just treated in a way that you would not expect anyone to treat their customers. The rooms smelled bad, refrigerators didn't work, drawers were nailed shut, it was not impressive at all. We worked with a number of other local businesses for our event who were nothing short of great/polite, everything you'd expect; Nader's was the only one with such poor customer service. If not for the location of Nader's near the lake/beach, and the 'community' atmosphere with the pool and courtyard, I would NOT recommend staying here.
Very large rooms. Full kitchen. Could stay here for extended visit and be comfortable.
My family had to stay there a little over a week with pets. So rather than having housekeeping deal with the pets we just left a do not disturb sign up. However the pets were never left alone. One of my family members had gotten very ill with flu and had accident. They were so embarrassed to tell them so they decided to wait the day out to try and figure out how to explain their accident. They had left the hotel to go clean out the house and grabbed the litter box out of the van and sat it in the hotel room for the day seeing we had left our cat at the new place so he was not in the room the whole time he is an outside cat. When they had returned that evening they found the hotel had ignored the do not disturb sign threw out the cat box and charged us $250 for a cleaning fee for the mess my family member had made. Then proceeded to call my family names such as pigs and humiliated them telling them they had no business owning pets if they were so sick. They were awful people. Then said my animals left a mess and we just tried to hide it all when that was not the case. These people are not nice and very judgemental. A horrible experience for any person. They had returned half the cleaning fee but they left a day early due to the judgemental horrifying experience. We did not get a refund for the room we payed for and did not stay in the last night.
The office staff was very nice, quick and pleasant; check-in was a breeze. The room was very clean, however the smell of the room from their cleaning products or the carpet deodorizer was overwhelming. The beds were overly firm, and the walls are not soundproofed. We could hear the guests in the next room having a conversation (and more) while we were trying to get to sleep. Definitely needed coffee in the morning, which the room can equipped with a coffee maker, which was appreciated.
The good things: It was very clean when I arrived. I also really liked the location. 10 minutes to the state park, and 2 minutes to Stearns Beach. The TV was nice and so was the cable. Free wifi was great. The little stores and town was adorable. The people were so outgoing and pleasant.
The bad things: Where do I even begin The bed and pillows were extremely uncomfortable and my sheets were like paper. The mattress cover was very thin and I could see the mattress right through it.
Flying ants kept getting into my room but when I told the lady at the front desk, she seemed like she couldn't care less. No apology, no sympathy.
I'm not sure what the suites are like, but the "queen" room I stayed in felt like it was fit for a peasant. I don't know HOW this place got so many good reviews. I'm going to need a masseuse to get my muscles uncramped thanks to the awful mattress and pillows. After my shower, the bathroom smelled terrible and I couldn't figure out why. I didn't expect much because I paid $66/night, but this place was still disappointing.
Next time I return to Ludington, I'm bringing a tent to camp in at the state park. An air mattress would be more comfortable than the bed I slept on.
Great stay. Very friendly. Clean room. Outstanding experience!
