We took a guided trip on 10-12-17. The experience was great from start to finish. All of the protective gear--wetsuits, helmets, flotation vests--fit well and was checked by the staff. Clint, our guide, was personable and knowledable. He told us what to expect and how to deal with it. At no time did we feel anything was out of control. There was time for chatting and time to just float along watching the leaves fall and listening to the water. We will definitely go with this company the next time we visit Ohiopyle.

Can't recommend them enough. We had a guided raft trip. Our guide was calm and did a great job maneuvering our boat through the river. My son fell out of the boat at one tricky stretch but was right back in the boat. I felt good about the safety measures that they had in place. They know the tricky sections and are prepared for them.
We were surprised to learn our guide was 18. He definitely had plenty of experience, so age was not a concern for me. Turns out his whole family has been doing this for years.
The staff was excellent, exactly what you want, full of experience and enthusiasm.
On our bus ride back to our staring point, one of the guides entertained us by telling about local sites and jokes. It was a fun trip.

Great prices , super friendly staff, newer boats and gear. Conveniently located in town by the fall. I highly recommend the Trading Post for your next adventure.

First time rafting family. AMAZING. The staff was excellent and we all had a blast with tons of laughs. No injuries and would go again in a heartbeat. Thanks to everyone who made the experience memorable!

Had an amazing time rafting there this weekend! Due to the weather we had to move from the Upper to Lower Yough but thanks to the team at Ohipyle Trading we had an awesome time. Want to give a shout out to our rafting guide Ellen "Black Widow" for showing us an amazing route, Chaz for giving us a great intro, and Hannah and Morgan for taking some amazing pictures and being extremely helpful. I trusted them with my life and property and was not disappointed. Highly recommend Ohiopyle Trading post to anyone planning on going rafting on the Youghiogheny River.

Joel and his staff and always welcoming and make me feel like family. The staff is extremely friendly and knowledgable. I have rafted at Ohiopyle for over 30 years. There are multiple outfitters in Ohiopyle that are good but in my opinion the Ohiopyle Trading Post is a cut above the rest.

I saw too many people getting injured. It's just a bunch of kids guiding the rafts. I can't recommend this company.

What a place what a time we had. Our scout troop rafted the Yough and hiked the nearby cave 40 stories down. What an adventure. Highly recommended.

We just completed a 7.5 mile run on the Lower Youghiogheny River today with the great folks at Ohiopyle Trading Post. Great experience from start to finish. The staff is friendly, experienced, well-trained, and exceptionably knowledgeable of the river. Our inexperienced family of six rafted down in a boat to ourselves (no in-boat guide), though a guide hopped into our raft at a particular point in the river where the water was a little tricky -so that was a great relief! Zero complaints; just a wonderful day all the way around.

i highly recommend the trading post. we did flip and all six of us were in the water at rivers end. thanks to our guide and safety crew in the kayaks everything turned out great. during our run i noticed how even the guides were watching out for each other and they all had a genuine concern for safety all the while letting us have some fun. Thanks again.
