Lovely little place. Value for money. Stayed for 3 nights and its ideally situated to public transport, or if you are driving easy access to downtown LA and Santa Monica pier. Offroad parking. Cafè attached to hotel is fantastic, amazing food.

Honestly the price we paid was worth the stay compared to the other hotels in the area, it was a pretty good deal, however keep in mind you get what you pay for. It's probably not the best place for kids, particularly if they are rambunctious as the walls are pretty thin, I received a complaint from my neighbor downstairs, but other than that they are comfortable rooms. The do have shared bathrooms and they do keep them pretty clean. The distance to the beach is not bad either, it was about a 10-15 min drive. All in all I was pretty satisfied, it's a nice peaceful area as well :)

This hotel has NO AIR CONDITIONING!!! I repeat NO AIR-CONDITIONING. ROOMS ARE HOT with no circulation! FALSE ADVERTISING!!!! The website says amenities AC. There is NO AC. The bathroom has missing drywall you can see pipes and also no ceilings. If the room was $25 a night that would be worth what your paying for. This place is OVER PRICED. Not close to the beach. Floors squeak loud. Walls are thin. Traffic is LOUD while having to have windows open due to no AC. Camping maybe a better option than this place. Sockets don't work in room. Beds are uncomfortable. They do give ear plugs do to noise. NO BREAKFAST! Literally you get a bed, towel and shower.

The hotel did not offer AC in the summer. There were also holes in the ceiling and parts of the walls in the women's bathroom. We did not stay the full night. I would not recommend to a friend.

Very poor costumer service.
Rooms small and the Ac doesn't cool.
No bathroom in room shared batrooms.

Bed is great, room has a microwave, a refrigerator and a sink, all new and good working. The shared bathroom is not the best and also on my stay one of the only two bathrooms was under maintenance, so I had to use the downstairs one.

The staffs are friendly and the decoration is nice. Rooms are clean but it's small. It's worst during bed time because of the thin walls. I could hear the person on the next room talking to someone on the phone the whole night. I COULD NOT GET ANY SLEEP. In the end, my friend knocked on her door and told her to be quiet which ended in an arguement. THAT'S because there were no staff to stop her/the problem from disturbing people. Walking to the bathroom is a hastle at night because the floors were squeeky that it felt like I was waking up everyone in every step i take. Bathrooms are shared too but it's not bad because it never gets busy. HOWEVER, this place is a nice place to stay in if you're a single traveler because they provide things available for you. They care about the customers and they warn you about the cons of the hotel before staying in.

If you have done your research on this hotel, you definitely know what you're getting yourself into. Small rooms, community bathrooms, thin walls. However, I still enjoyed my stay overall. The room (although small) certainly had more than enough space and the sink in the room was very convenient. The queen bed was big and comfy and I never found it difficult to sleep. The walls are definitely thin, but ear plugs were provided in case I needed them. My main complaint about the room is that there was a hint of an unpleasant odor, but it only took a few moments to adjust. The community bathroom wasn't as bad as one would think, either. The worst part about it is that the showers are small and don't have great water pressure.
The location of this hotel is wonderful! Within walking distance there is a Starbucks, frozen yogurt shop, the OP cafe (which was delicious), and many other food options. If you're the walking type, it's only about an hour and 15 minutes to the Santa Monica Pier as well.
The service was also pretty good. The people at the front desk were very polite/helpful and definitely willing to accommodate to help guests out. My main complaint with the service was when I left the "maid service" tag outside my door, all I got was new towels.
As mentioned, if you know what you're getting into, this hotel isn't bad at all and I give it 4/5 stars. I found myself enjoying the stay overall and found that the cheap rates made it worth it.response / report this review -

Location is great with a car. Able to get to Santa Monica Pier in 10 minutes or so (with low traffic that is)
Room is small and sparse, but that was definitely expected. Nice and friendly management. Good stay!response / report this review
