Claps will allow you to order your dinner on your drive out there. When we walk in, we tell them we just phoned in our order they immediately bring out our drink orders and salads, as the salads get finished our sirloin is ready. Dinner takes about 15 minutes. Great as we have a little one.
We played on 10/26 and the course was in amazing condition. The greens were not aerated and they rolled absolutely perfect. The pace of play was not an issue at all and the staff was extremely friendly and courteous.
Played the Marsh Oaks on a Friday pro shop staff was very friendly two younger guys answered all questions I had. Pace of play was piss poor and it seemed like a ranger was not working that day, beverage girls also did not take credit cards which on a 90 degree day was frustrating. As for the course years ago it was in much better shape seems like it has gone down hill. Food was good as always. Owners seemed great just wish the course was maintained better.
Love Sunday breakfast. Simple menu. Good prices
I had a wonderful time I was with my church for a golf outing. I liked the atmosphere- no it's not new however I liked it's charm and the view with all the windows was nice. The staff was great and very accommodating- when I asked for a vegetarian meal. Two large groups were there with plenty of golf carts and staff.
An old friend. That's Oak Ridge. I've been playing here since I took up the game decades ago. Some of the most friendliest staff you will ever meet. Now for the courses -- the 'Old Course' is a classic design with water on a few holes. Solid length and is always in fine shape. The 'Marsh' has more water and vastly tighter. Either course will challenge. Only drawback here is no outdoor area to enjoy that 19th hole beverage.
Good range and practice facility. It has 2 golf courses, each with different and fair tee boxes for all playing ability. Marsh is the more difficult advanced. Food is ok at best. Caters alot to leagues and the regulars.
Great course, love playing our golf league there.
Fun course, good staff.
Company outing had a great time
Played Old Oaks today and was not very impressed with the condition of the course. The fairways were average and could have used some maintenance. Some tee boxes didn't even have grass and was a dirt / sand mix. The course is perfect for beginners as it is open and very few hazards and is perfect for working on any part of your game. The club house is run down and dingy. I cannot speak to the food but looked like your average diner food. The staff however was amazing and very friendly. Overall I would grade this course a C.
I played in a Ryder tournament there last week and played all 36 holes. From the start the staff was extremely friendly. Our waitress Maria was super friendly and always asking if we were ok and or needed anything at both breakfast and lunch. She is loud and likes to joke around with the customers. Pro shop staff was very polite and willing to help with anything they could. They are making progress with the sand traps, they badly needed to be done. Cart seats were just re-upholstered. Greens on both courses were in really good shape. Chris- the golf course superintendent was great about answering some questions I had during the round. Overall very friendly place, courses were in good shape, had a great time!
