I had a bit of an emergency need for an Arborist service to remove the barely holding together remaining 1/2 of about a 30 ft tall big cherry tree that split during a day of gusty winds. What was left of the tree was threatening my neighbor's house so I needed help ASAP. I contacted Jonathan and he arrived to assess the situation within about 30 minutes. He had his crew out early the next morning and they did a phenomenal job removing the sketchy remains that mostly hung over the neighbor's lot, as well as cleaning everything up to damn near spotless.
Every part of the process was speedy and professional from the time I called, to the crew finishing the job. This was while they already had what sounded like plenty of jobs to take care of due the windstorm.
I had been planning on removing this tree and have been talking to those around me who had trees removed and I'd say the price was reasonable and better than what I expected.
I will certainly be referring NW Arbor Culture if I run into anybody needing tree services.

I highly recommend Jon Nash & crew at Northwest Arbor-Culture Inc - Tree Services! They really came through for us with our tree situation this week. After experiencing 2/3 of our large oak crashing down on Tuesday in what may have been the scariest thing I have heard/experienced, I got to work calling local tree specialists. Many messages were never returned and those that answered said they would be able to assess sometime between October-December, with one giving me a mid-July date. What!? I'm glad I didn't give up.
Jon was here less than an hour after I called. The crew was out today and they were skilled, professional, kind and worked as fast as possible to remove the hazardous limbs and clear the debris. So thankful to have a positive experience despite the horrible situation with a lot of damage.

I called John Nash at Northwest Arbor Culture to ask him to assess the integrity of a tree in my yard. I was concerned after this last freeze and wind that the tree may fall on my house. John came by and looked at the tree called me right away and said all is good! John was professional, kind, knowledgeable he put my concerns to rest. Oh, also did I mention that he did this for free. Thank you so much for your prompt service.

John was recommended by a friend. He came to my home in Southwest Portland a day after I called, to do a wellness evaluation on a Cypress in my front yard. He arrived on time, came across as very knowledgeable, and took plenty of time informing me of what options were. We discussed possible ways to treat the tree, he gave me cost estimates to trim away the dead trunk, completely remove the tree, grind the stump, as well as a risk assessment and a timeline on which he felt I needed to make a decision. I was very happy with the service he provided, and would recommend him to others.

I can't say thank you enough to Jon and team for all their hard work. Jon came over provided an estimate. He talked through my various trees and all my tree questions giving us a fair market estimate. They already came recommended by family so we decided to give them a try and we were not disappointed. Jon was honest with his estimate and restrictions, communicated his preferences and even gave me ways to save on costs by doing some work outside of his company. Scheduling was fast even though I was not in a hurry. Crew was onsite for an entire day, they were great guys, hardworking, funny and really interesting to watch as they took down some really big trees, they worked really well as a team. The clean-up after was awesome. I have had about 4 different tree companies out for various tree work over the last 10 years and NW Arbor Culture has been by far the best.
