Jay Myers is not customer focused and will do anything to a bill to not honor what he says he will do. When you are told you will not be paying a tow bill and you go to pay your bill and the tow bill is on there and he will not remove it, there is something wrong with that. He also treats his customers like dirt, telling them ' well if you know so much about diesels why didn't you work on it yourself then.' Or ' here I’ll give you $20 if you take this bill to a different Ford shop and they tell you this is the cheapest bill you could have.' When a customer pays thousands of dollars to fix a vehicle and it's in the shop for over a month I expect to be treated with respect not like I have no clue what I'm talking about. When we asked to speak to the manager Jay told us that all mangers were gone for the day but when I called the next day to file a complaint, I asked what time the managers left the day before and I was told Jake was there till 5:30, so Jay lied to us about the managers being gone because Jake was still there. We did get a hold of the manager, Jake, who was also just as rude and not willing to fix anything and ultimately at the end of the conversation asked me ' well I don't know what you’re trying to get accomplished here.' Jake also acted like his service guy, Jay, did no wrong with how he treated us. I also never got an apology for any of the troubles other than a fake 'I'm sorry you feel that way' which was not sincere at all and still had to end up paying a higher bill a second time then I should have. I will never take a vehicle back to this shop and I will make sure to detour as many people I know from going here as well. I don't appreciate being treated the way I did, I have never had such a bad experience from a dealership before.

I found a car I liked on the lot more than my dislike for the salesman. I lined up financing on my own while the salesman would not negotiate on price. He never mentioned the extended warranty that was available to me. When I came to the dealership to finalize the sale the finance officer told me about it. I was surprised that the salesman had not discussed this with me prior to the sale.

When I’ve needed service done the service dept. says I need to go through the salesman for a loaner vehicle. I’ve spoken to the salesman and he says this is not normally an option. I had a brake issue at one point with my vehicle and went through my salesman and the loaner vehicle I received smelled like it was heavily smoked in (I don’t smoke). When I’ve called to make an appointment and I’m told I can drop it off but I have no alternate transportation so I have spent my Saturday morning in the waiting room to get my oil changed. I recently received a recall on my vehicle and the letter states to bring the vehicle back to the dealership but when I call the service dept. I’m told to take the vehicle to Mattoon for the recall and for the 67,000 mile check-up. I was advised by the service dept. they won’t service my vehicle they’re only able to do the oil change on the vehicle. I’m now having to take a half day off work every time I need service done on the vehicle.
I’m astounded by the recent revelation that they won’t do any service on my vehicle because it’s a Nissan. When I purchased the extended warranty I’m told everything has to go through my dealership to avoid a deductible (?) but now I’m being told they won’t do any service on it. I feels like I’ve been manipulated into purchasing the extended warranty and the dealership won’t honor it.
This dealership came highly recommended from a few co-workers but after the experience I’ve had I will NEVER buy from them again nor recommend to anyone else.

The service people are nice. They take their time. Also double check with other shops if your vehicle needs worked sometimes they can fit you in sooner than here for same price. If you don't have a warranty on your vehicle.

I bought a used 2012 King Ranch. I think the deal was fair. I paid the highest price that was suggested by KBB. They gave me what other dealers offered me for my trade. So it was a Okay experience.

Have an awesome service department and friendly people working there, but prices are very high on new vehicles. Look up Holzhauers out of Nashville, Illinois best prices in illinois on Ford dodge and gmc vehicles

I recently purchased my 2013 Lincoln MKZ from Northside and I absolutely love them, not only did I get a great deal, the salesperson I spoke with was extremely helpful and the staff were super nice. I would most definitely recommend them to all my family and friends.

Great service from Dave Merrihew and the rest of the staff all make you feel at home. They all worked hard to get me the best deal possible. I suggested Northside to my nephew for his next car.

We were allowed to bring the vehicle home overnight to get a really good idea if we wanted to make a trade. My husband returned the vehicle the next morning and said we would take it and that we would be back later in the day to finalize the deal. I was to meet my husband there after work. While waiting for him I was approached by two separate people asking if I had been waited on or needed anything. Once my husband arrived, we were met by Brandt Mayhood who had all of the paperwork ready for our signatures. He was very polite, knowledgeable, and made the experience an all around pleasant one.
This was not our first time trading at Northside. Each time we have dealt with them, they have been kind, courteous, knowledgeable and very easy to work with.
They appreciate their customers and have no problem expressing that by their actions.
    Would trade with them again.

I have been buying vehicles off of Jake and Northside for about 10 years now. I purchased 10 or 11 vehicles. They always find me exactly what I'm looking for. I've never felt pressured. The vehicles are always well maintained and really clean. Josh in their financing Department has always went above and beyond to find me the best possible financing. Their service department has always made me feel like I was important. I love that the first oil change is free and that there is a free car wash every Saturday morning. I highly recommend shopping at Northside Ford.

Went there just to take a look around and ended with buying a 2003. Scott summers was an amazing salesman very professional and helpful every step of the way even calling me with all updates and setting me up in a very reliable and nice loaner while they fixed my car before giving it to me would gladly shop there again if the experience is always that good

Purchased a 2006 used vehicle at this place, 4 hours away from where I live in Chicago. I called them around 6 pm or so and the calls appear to be forwarded after hours to one of the sales guys' cell phones, which I think is great. Kenny Birch took my call, I told him what I was interested in and said he would get back to me first thing in the morning as they were already closed for the day. (Extra points for after hours calls, another dealer in Indiana missed out on my business for calling me 2 days later!!)

9 am next day he sent me answers to all my questions and we texted and emailed back and forth for roughly an hour, his responses always prompt and with straight answers. No BS.

We negotiated over the phone, came to an agreement and by 11 am I was on the highway on my way to purchase the vehicle. Throughout the day we spoke, along with my loan officer and they got everything ready for me by the time I got there. No pressure, I test drove the vehicle, once I was sure I was taking it, took about an hour to get all the paperwork done. Didn't hassle me for additional products or services (Thank God for this, I hate when sales people are pushy). Also important to note is, when I declined to have Northside Ford Lincoln try to finance it for me, they didnt push on that end either, he did ask once or twice if I was open to the idea, which is ok but other dealers would continuously try to convince me to do so, which is why I walked away. The customer is always right, don't push it.

End result was a happy customer. I didn't really speak to any other sales staff but they were all joking around and seemed friendly enough. Finance guy was rather serious, but after a long day on a Friday, I am sure he just wanted to get home to his family, that's understandable. I would certainly suggest checking out their website, their stock is very reasonably priced which is why I didn't mind driving 8 hours that day. With regards to how the car has turned out, its barely been a month and it's too early to tell but so far, so good! My sales guy was Kenny Birch.

If another really good deal like this comes up next time, I would certainly consider the drive again.
