Great park. There's a FREE fountain for kids to play in the summer, and an excellent water park. I recommend just getting passes to the water park, 3 times pays for itself. Kids sleep like champs after a long day here. Park has 2 great playgrounds for toddlers and older school age children. Paddle boats and bikes are available to rent. You can also reserve pavilions for parties. There's also a dog park. If you buy a park pass you also get a pass to see the Christmas lights at James's island county park.

We took our little shitpoo to the dog park. It is nice. There were lots of big dogs but just a few little ones. The bathrooms are a few minute walk but are very nice. They charge $2 per person which is a little steep.

I would encourage dog owners to pick up their dogs’ poo. There were land mines everywhere.

Great park with LOTS to do. Besides events that are held there they have a dog park (big & little dogs), paddle boat & bike rental, playground equipment, a snack bar, trails, and a separate water park.
Like the other parks I've been to in SC Wannamaker is very well kept and picturesque. Admission is $2/adult or free if you have a Gold Pass. I'm not sure about admission to the water park.

We love this park. It has a good playground, big open fields, and sprinklers during the summer. For $2 a person (Under 3 is free) and all day access, it is definitely a win. Great place to picnic and fish as well.

What a fun, family-friendly park. We had been to Whirling Waters numerous times. However, this was the first time we went in the county park part. It is very lovely. And it has a newer concessions stand and facilities in the park center. It has a good playground, but the equipment could be updated more like James Island. The best part is that it is completely covered in shade. There is also a splash fountain area for children. We loved the trails and the peddle boats. We counted 8 turtles while we peddled. There are lots of picnic areas for rent or free. We will go back.

We love this park! It's such an awesome place for your kids and play dates, or for both mom and dad & children to spend time together. We love it

This park is like a second home to me and my children. During the fall and winter we enjoy the walking trails and the playground. During the spring we have picnics. And during the summer we get passes for Whirlin' Waters and go to the sprinklers. We have had birthday parties and family reunions here! I am so happy that we live only minutes away from this beautiful park.

We love Charleston County parks and this park is always great. If you come during summer Whirling Waters is a super fun way to spend a day with the kids. Also there is always room for a birthday party, clean restrooms, and ample parking. The kids big amd small also love the "Big Hill".
