Love this Nordstrom location. Great restaurant and Men's suit selection. Most Nordstrom carry only a few suits in my size, this location had a very nice selection of highend suits and sport coats. Super easy to return a sport coat I bought online.
Terrible customer service. I was a Nordstrom employee back in the day when I was in college and it is mind blowing I me how anyone at this store has a job. I was in the store for over an hour and not a single person acknowledged me or asked me if I needed help. The man working in salon shoes treated me terribly. I wanted to buy a pair of Manolo Blahniks for my wedding shoes and because I’m young and in my twenties, he was incredibly rude and didn’t help me probably because he didn’t think it was worth his while. That’s exactly how you lose and sale and a customer.
Was unable to exchange sun glasses I purchased a couple of years back even though I had the proof of purchase sticker on the case. Now I need to go home and search for the receipt. Must say though the sales person who tried helping me did her best that she could to make the exchange possible.
The service in men's suits is the worst I've ever experienced being a dedicated nordstrom shopper since the 1980s. The employees are condescending, very aloof, and completely unintrested in helping you unless of course you look like you got a million dollars to spend.
I FEEL VETY EMBARRASSED SHOPPING AT NORDSTROM IN SOUTH COAST PLAZA AS THE SALES ASSOCIATE WILL DO "anything for a sale " EVEN BE RUDE TO THERE OWN ASSOCIATES OVER one item "transaction"!!!! IN MEN WEAR @nordstom GO AND TRAIN (DEANNA K) ON CUSTOMER SETVICE " JUST BECAUSE YOUR ODLER THEM ANOTHER associates you don't "steal there sale" THIS MADE ME RETURN MY ITEMS TO ANOTHER NORDSTROM AND ALL MY OTHER THINGS AS WELL. I AM DEFINITELY TURNED OFF MY HER SERVICE AMD NORDSTROM TO ALLOW THIS AMD ONLY PAY THERE EMPLOYEES JUST Commission .
My wife tried to replace an eyeliner brush she purchased here which broke. They would not help or replace it because she paid cash. They refused to accept our Nordstrom card as backup. Very rude and demeaning. Treated my 72 year old grandma wife as though she were lying. Worst service ever. Sad.
It's very nice, I am visit Nordstrom every weekend, it's elegant high quality, clean, well no words to describe this beautiful place. If you came from different state, visit all fancy stores. The South Coast Plaza.
They have the stuff I need and buy however as other people pointed out the customer service is lacking.i either l work retail and I get it - I dress and look vaguely sketchy. However I don't need a cuck looming over me while I'm shopping nor do I need to get scoffed at for asking basic questions. "no we don't carry that" > walk 2 feet and find it. So yeah, be sure to dress like you belong in the store.
I bought a sport coat here a couple of weeks ago on the weekend before a business trip. The salesman told me to come back on a weekday after my trip and they'd do an adjustment on the sleeve length. From the time I put on the sport coat on my trip, I didn't like it - it just didn't hang, feel or look like a $500 sport coat should. So I bring it back today - thinking I'd just get the sleeves adjusted when I noticed that it had a least two places where the thread was coming unraveled. Even though I've bought many things at Nordstrom's over the years, I've never returned anything and I started to think maybe I should ask to exchange this coat - after all Nordstrom's is legendary for their customer service - right? I was met with a woman who seemed to be in charge in the men's department. When I told her about my dissatisfaction with the sport coat, she gave me a very dismissive - "Well you'd be the first one ever to think (brandname) was not the very best quality - this is a beautiful coat' - her tone and demeanor clearly communicating that 'you just don't have good taste'. When I pointed out the thread coming apart she rushed the coat back to the tailor and said she'd find the salesman - I literally couldn't get a word in edgewise. When my sales guy eventually showed up (after 10 minutes of standing there awkwardly) he and she spoke briefly and he started talking about the thread that had come loose. I told him I had come back to get the sleeves adjusted but that I was also very unhappy with the coat. He seemed really busy with another customer and either didn't hear about my dissatisfaction or decided to ignore it. He got the tailor to mark the sleeves and then rushed back to his other customer. So I guess I'm getting the coat back in a week (7 days to shorten 2 sleeves!) and I'll have to keep it for wearing with blue jeans - it's not anything I want to wear at a work event again. I will not be back to shop here ever again and as for Norstrom's legendary service it was nowhere to be seen in my experience.
Store employees in the men's section are very snobby and lazy. Went in to buy a $300 Helmut Lang shirt and had to ask over 4 employees for help. 3 were "busy" socializing and one didn't even offer to assist when he saw I was in need of a dressing room. Just stood there looking at me from the register. I finally found a salesperson to let me try it on and ring me up after 10 minutes of searching. I will definitely not go to this location again. The clothes are great but the employees are not trained to be friendly and helpful.
Come on this is Nordstrom. Always great products that reflect superior taste for the meticulous shopper.
The employees in the men's shoe department were helpful and friendly. Men's clothing department I can't say the same. The store was a bit messy; I noticed a lot of small trash around on the floor which did surprise me.
If I could give 3 1/2 I would.
Not very busy on our last visit.
Pretty standard Nordstrom.
Despite the remodeling going on everything was clean.
My wife did like the nursing lounge, but unfortunately I was not allowed in. Other places handle that better with family rooms, so dad can be there as well and help.
