By default the room had no coffee machine or fridge (you can special request as fridge). With the many conventions held at this hotel the elevators we're always annoyingly busy. No special shuttle service to amenities or airport. Hotel cafe and store we're open until midnight which was great. Location is good but you could choose many great hotels at similar pricing.

Just stayed for one night but enjoyed it. The bed was good and I liked the room size (not huge but more than enough for a business trip when you're not in the room much and the loveseat by the window was a nice touch). The room was clean and the decor relatively fresh (though there were a few dings that really should have been taken care of). Nice bathroom but a tad small).

A 4-star hotel deserves 4 stars. Stayed here twice. Rooms are pretty modern. The views are limited, but are still pleasant to look at. Have been to countless events in the ballroom. This is a union house! Good service. The catering kitchen food is decent. Walking distance from Times Square.

Decent views of the area. The hotel charges to store luggage if you need them held a few hours before your flight. They will also charge $25 to check in before noon if you come in on a red eye and want to nap.

5-10 min walk to most Broadway shows and times square. The gyro carts outside owned by the halal guys are phenomenal. Prices vary $5-8 per cart so check around if you want!

Cash only for a lot of places in NYC (non chain)

Staff are as pleasant as they can be within the company's policies. We paid for a room with a view and when we got to the hotel to check in we were informed that work was being done on the top floors so they moved us to a different room of "equal value." There was a price difference of $30 between the room I paid for and the one I received, I had been downgraded. When I went to complain I was told that no other rooms were available to upgrade to and they could not credit me for the $30 price difference. The trip was for business and only for one night, so it did not bother me as it would have if I had been vacationing. However, I now know why many of the veteran attendees of the same event as me decided to stay at a different hotel then the one the event was held at.

A very nice hotel, very clean and spacious. Place is ideally place and just beside the Halal guys for a quick and cheap bite. The staff were all courteous and very helpful. The concierge went beyond our expectation for our wedding anniversary. Thank you New York Hilton Midtown.

I went for my birthday over the weekend and stayed from a Saturday night to Sunday. The room was nice, but a couple of other minor things. Of course the prices were high, but I expect that with the city. No complimentary breakfast. No coffee machine in the room. I understand why the prices were high, but at the same time I feel like that comes with a stay that should be exceptional. Parking was $70.00 for the night at the hotel. Our phone wasn't plugged in, which caused a guest of mine to have to wait outside for over an hour while the employees confirmed he was a guest. All because the phone wasn't plugged in. Told the guy when checking out and he apologized and moved on.

We checked in late on a Friday and there was an altercation happening in the lobby with some patrons and security. Not a good first impression. The gentleman behind the desk didn't really seem too interested in us or our check-in. We go up to our room and the door is open. Not closed. Umm yeah so I checked it out and there was food in the fridge.

The room itself is a decent size and the bathroom is decent. The bed is comfortable. They have two luggage racks which is a plus! The room has lots of storage and drawers. The room also has a safe.

Mixed bag of nuts at this hotel. It's a little upscale and in midtown. The lobby isn't too inviting once inside. There's literally no where for groups to sit and meet up. You have to stand in the way. The bell man and luggage storage are two different areas. Luggage area closes and you have to go to the bell man but there are no signs. The restaurants and bar in the lobby are nice and well updated. Currently the gym is under renovations but they can give you a free pass to a neighbor gym.

My room had a nicely updated bathroom. The room was rather large for NYC. But it did need an update. There's a large brown velvet couch that I don't want to touch. The room could have had better lighting and also a fridge. Overall the staff is nice, the property is clean but lots of the property could use an update. Nothing chic about this Hilton.

We loved our stay at the New York Hilton Midtown! Quiet and clean room. Loved our breakfast buffet. Only reason not 5 stars was the line to check out was way too long. They needed more staffing at that point. All the staff was polite and friendly.

Location is quite perfect. Everything you want to see is nearby. There's halal guys right downstairs if you need a late night food fun. Rooms are adequate, they were clean. The view was also pleasant.

The rooms were really nice. Spacious for New York and had all the amenities I always look for. The staff was very courteous and professional. The only thing I didn't like was that the lobby area (near check-in/registration) doesn't have seating.

I was running early and had to wait until closer to check-in time to get into my room. However, I had to walk around the hotel to find somewhere to sit down and wait. I eventually found an area near the bar that had lots of seating but it wasn't particularly clean. People had left cups and trash laying around. To be fair, there were quite a few events going on in the hotel all that weekend, one of them being a high school competition. So it's quite possible that the teens made the mess back there!

If anyone is looking for a great deal on hotels you can check it out on HotelRaven. com Booked a room on there and they had the cheapest rates around

A huge hotel in Midtown. Rooms are very spacious by New York standards. Though the design and furnishing are not exciting or luxurious, everything is clean and functional, and the sound proofing is excellent, so you can sleep quietly despite the very central location. The hotel is very big and hosts conferences all the time, so don't expect a quiet lobby or a "boutique" feel. A very good choice for business trips or casual visits, less so for tourists or romantic getaways. Good value for money ratio.

The location of this hotel is very convenient. It is next to the big stores on 5th Avenue which makes it a suitable place to stay after shopping. The rooms are nice, although it lacks some small accessories such as cups and coffee. The TV is renewed and big enough for the room. The view is decent, it is obstructed by other buildings as well.
