Namaste is a beautiful and totally comfortable studio. Teachers are highly qualified. Students of all levels, abilities, and ages practice yoga together in a community that is welcoming, supportive, and fun.
I really love the classes at Namaste! The energy of the Hot Core Yoga sessions with Ellen on Saturday mornings is so positive and healing. Everyone is encouraged to challenge themselves without going overboard. Every body is different and everyone has their own expression of poses. And the philosophy of yoga is woven into the movements, making it a great way to deepen your practice!
I like the classes and teachers at Namaste so much that I would not consider going to any other yoga studio. The teachers are dedicated and personable. YEAH Yoga1
I've always wanted to be a yoga enthusiast, but alas, despite several heartfelt attempts I always felt frustrated at my lack of flexibility and inability to quiet my mind to reap any satisfaction. While I can't say that by any stretch of the imagination (yes, intentional pun) I'm a yogi, I can honestly say I enjoy attending classes at Namaste. Ellen's hot core yoga class is awesome and each week I see and feel incremental improvements in my flexibility and balance. The studio has ample parking, it is always neat and clean and has a wonderful positive vibe. Mats, blocks, bolsters and blanket are available to supplement your own or, if you're like me, to borrow if you have none. There are a number of different classes to choose from and the prices are very reasonable. My first time experience there I had a real sense of camaraderie and friendship with class participants where newbies feel welcome.
I love the Sunrise Fusion with Ellen! I have been taking yoga for years and there are some postures that I was convinced I would just never be able to do. Ellen's thoughtful guidance has helped me improve half a dozen of those in just a few months. Amazing!
When I visited Tallahassee in 2007, Namaste yoga was the first place I came to. I LOVED IT! I said to myself, "if I move here this will be my yoga home." And.Namaste yoga has become exactly that. All the teachers are great! But I must say that my favorite teacher is Ellen Shapiro. She has really enhanced my practice and understanding of yoga. I am a dancer and my strength and flexibility skyrocketed when I began to attend her class. Ellen's classes are not just about the movementthey truly are about the mind, body and spirit. I also love the continued search for knowledge as all the teachers regularly attend workshops and retreats and host their own. They also bring in other yoga teachers to give you a different perspective. If you are looking for a yoga practice to advance your body as well as your mind and soul, Namaste is the place for you! :-)
