It bums me out this publix is so small and carries so few of the items I usually get at other locations. The staff are really friendly though and the store is well maintained. The selection just bugs me.
Best Publix ever! Friendly staff, super clean, great prices!
At the Southwood store many on sale items are often sold out. Publix brand bread is often sold out or close to going out of date. The deli staff are slow and the hot deli items often look old and dried up. We started shopping at the Mahan Publix because the shopping experience seems better at that location.
Tim in the pharmacy is fantastic! I needed my medicine in a pinch on my lunch break and he filled it in less than 15 mins! I love Publix and I will always come back to this pharmacy. Thanks Tim and Publix!
Very friendly employees and helpful. There are a few that have an attitude. Hopefully they will be weeded out. Store is clean and organized as most Publix stores are.
The only thing that can make this place better as if they wouldn't make me walk all the way back to the store Front to throw things away they should stick a trash can or two out at the buggy returns other than that it's Publix they're always nice.
Public is a great super market there cleanest, the peoples are very friendly &very helpful if you haveing a problem someone would help you fine it 😉
This is the best Publix in Tallahassee! The manager, Corbin, helped me find my vaseline for my ashy feet. He walked me directly to the product and I explained to him that I thought it was buy one get one free. He told me it was not on sale but he really wanted to push the sale because he immediately applied Vaseline to my feet and then offered me the container for half off. He went above and beyond to provide premier customer service. My feet have never been treated with so much respect. 10/10 would recommend to a friend. Thank you for all your extra effort. Walmart is still my favorite, but I will consider shopping here from now on.
Publix meat and produce can't be beat. Unfortunately, they are investing less time and energy in ensuring high demand products are readily available - especially during peak shopping days/hours (ie Saturday at noon). Sad to share that their formerly outstanding customer service is waining. For them to maintain patrons willing to pay slightly higher prices for products they could purchase elsewhere at a lesser cost, they should have staff readily available to unload groceries carts at the register and bag groceries for their customers. These are perks their customers have become accustomed to receiving.
Managers lack professionalism. Not a customer service friendly store and very problematic with accepting coupons or just explaining the policy. One associate decided to draw on a piece of paper to help me understand because he thought I was dumb. can you say insulting. I would hate to think this store is a racist establishment. This has been a lesson learned for me.
More expensive than other publix's that I've been to..stickers are nice and helpful.sure it's right by my home so very convenient but not worth spending more than what you thought. Lots of items have the sales prices still on so you don't know until you get home that you spent more on the item. Will be looking for another shop around here to shop at. Wal-Mart I would say is better than this.
the opinions expressed are entirely my own.
2.5 stars.
all these 5 star reviews must be from people who have never experienced shopping in the real world, in quality stores. when all you have to compare it to are the badly run, horrid produce of your local town because you were 'born in tally, will die in tally.' you aren't really qualified to rank a place.
cleanliness: overall not bad but far from exceptional
stock ppl: friendly and helpful , and given the unpleasant task of stocking shelves WHILE customers shop because trucks get in late or perhaps mgt just wont pay people to stock after hours?
prices: omg.. ridiculous. $1.50 PER avocado?? $5.00 a lb for tomatoes when in season? the only reason I shop here is for the bogo. like most of Americans I live on a tight budget. I cant afford to pay these crazy high prices. is it any wonder so many shop Walmart?
produce: this store is a joke here. IF the quality was not so poor I might be convinced that charging an arm and a leg was acceptable. it is not. flies in the produce. bruised and damaged items. rot on peppers and ginger root. bags of potatoes with rot. loose salad with rot from frequent water dousing. um, when you live in a place surrounded by swamps and a climate prone to mold.. is this smart? bags of 'fresh' express salad with what looks like rotten leaves and rust stained leaves that would end up in the trash. condensation builds up in the bags and causes premature rotting before it even hits the shelf. sad really very sad.
other assorted staff: while in line a bagger yelled at me 'HEY!' and pointed out the other lane was opening. hey? is this how you treat customers? HEY! I almost left the cart and walked out. that would mean I would be making some stocker's life difficult so I did not. you do not yell at clients. ever. ask the register person to relay a message or walk up to them and say 'excuse me.. a lane is opening just over there if you'd like '.
WARNING: this place is very bad about their prices on shelves matching their published sales. it is also very bad about not removing expired sales price markers from shelves. you will think you are buying something at a discount only to find when you get home they rang it up at way higher rate. do yourself a favor. check your receipt BEFORE you leave.. or watch while they ring things up. bring up EVERY discrepancy. publix has a policy where any item rung up at a higher price than what is marked on shelf or in flyer is given to you free at customer service. if they are that lax about pricing and matching their flyers, make them pay for it.
so how come so many 5 star 'reviews'? granted I am a picky shopper but my expecations are not ridiculous. sell me fair to good quality stuff, and at the price you advertise.. make it reasonable and don't HEY! me like I'm some kind of idiot child or a dog. sadly the publix at Centerville and 319 is about the same when it comes to prices and produce 'quality'but that's another review.
They do NOT even deserve a one star!!! The level of disrespect, attitudes, unfriendly and racism I just received today was HORRIBLE. I just received HELL trying to return two items with my receipt.
I wasn't even greeted when I came to the customer service desk. There was a white guy name Corbin. He explained he couldn't give me a full return. There were bugs in the pankcake mix I received from products being on self for too long. Also All items were less than 30 days.. I requested to speak to a manager.
While waiting.. Corbin deiced to gossip about me to Cindy & another white girl staring at me like I was from out of space. While going to my car a lady return salad without a receipt and was able to get a refund.
Finally after being called two time Rayne (older white lady) finally came. After explaining her the situation she allowed me to get a refund. However, that didn't stop that fat white guy Corbin from continuing to talk about me. I asked him why and he said he wasn't he was talking to his roommate about something else. While the manger and other white customer service workers are just standing around looking!!!! I said this is still modern day racism while all the BLACK workers in the back worker. Everyone else can be so rude, have attitude and say they are going to refuse your service.
Always a pleasure to go here to this Publix. I like the butcher shop over here to. I mean they can do a number on steak. Awesome Publix all round!
