So, this place is close to my work. I like to get my nails done on my lunch hour so this would be the ideal place. Except they've screwed my nails up for the last time. I stopped having acrylic nails done there because the owner was not taking time to do a good job. I would walk in with my nails one way and walk out with a different shape, length, thickness.. The girl who did do acrylics well kept burning me with the dremel. THAT FREAKING HURTS! Then I decided to try gel manicures there. They put the polish on so thick that within hours, it peeled off in sheets from several nails, and the entire polish was gone in a week.
Today, I went back (I know, shame on me being slow to catch on but again, so close to work) and the girls convinced me to try the dip powder. Sloppy again, done in under 25 minutes. There is a smudge on my right pointer finger, that she just picked at and then ignored instead of fixing, my cuticles are stained, and I just paid $42.00 for a paint job. No cuticle trim after I stated my cuticles are a wreck (THE MAIN REASON I SPEND MONEY TO HAVE MY NAILS DONE instead of doing myself) no buffing, filing or shaping, no lotion. Seriously she painted my nails with the powder BS and sent me on my way in 25 minutes. I'm done.

1st & Last experience for me. This was at 2 o'clock in the afternoon and they were anything but busy. Her design sucked. And she smeared it when wiping my nails at the end since I got gel polish. And just tried to put a jewel on it to cover it up instead of fixing it (it was still very noticeable). I have had acrylics for about 5 years and have NEVER EVER had a nail break. Let alone 4 NAILS IN 2 DAYS after getting them done. And gel chip on about 8 of my nails total in just two days!! And this is the most I HAVE EVER PAYED. So disappointed, won't be back.

My family and I have been going to the Nail Stop since they opened. We get our toes done. My son even had his 17th birthday celebration there getting his toes done with friends. The polish stays on longer than the nail takes to grow out! Love this place. They turn my hobbit feet back to human every time.

This is the worst place I’ve ever experienced. Had her re do the acrylics three times and she was talking about how I’m too picky I’m paying for the service and i expect to get a good service. Neither happened. She “took” the nail off which she just cut them filed them a bit and kept putting the new one on top of the other one. They’re of all different shapes and they’re not even painted correctly. Will never go back and will not recommend. She even cut me on three different places. Worst place ever!

It's my go-to for both mani & pedicure--very nice staff, pleasant and quiet experience.

Disaster. Lumpy, bumpy, thick nails with divets. I just left and I'm now at another nail salon getting this mess fixed. Worst manicure ever. She rushed and sloppily did everything. It isn't what I thought I asked for.

They size people up. So the service you get depends on what tip they think they may get. I knew how much it was going to cost because I been in there before I was going to give a$15 tip. The technician was very aggressive with my manicure and made my cuticles bleed. The paint on my nails was messy and I had to keep telling her that the base and top coat was not evenly distributed. All she did was smile and didn't fix it like I was speaking a foreign language. Although my pedicure was somewhat OK I will never go back. I wish I can insert a pic of my messy nails to show you.

I liked this place located right in center of North Kansas City, walking distance for me. Plus they are very professional, nice people, nice and super clean salon. I loved my pedicure and eyebrows waxing done by Leann.

I tried to do a walk in and everyone who came in after me the lady at the counter said you called in. After about 4 people i left. Better places around. Save yourself the trip and let them go away.

Went in and they weren't busy so I got right in. I got acrylic nails with just paint over them. My nails are all differently shaped and some are thicker than others. On one nail it looks like they only put acrylic on half of my nail. Another nail she started to do the point so it's skinnier at the top than all my nails it looks ridiculous. I had to go home and fix them best I could but that was a waste of 45 dollars. I wouldn't go back.

This was my first time going to Nail Stop and unfortunately, I don't think I'll be returning. I called beforehand to make an appointment and all I needed was a gel polish change. I got there a few minutes early and they started me right away which was great. However, shortly after a few ladies came in that must be frequent customers because suddenly my nail tech was rushing through my service. I will mention that I did tell her I didn't have enough time for a manicure and just wanted to do a polish change, so that could of affected the time of my service. But she didn't even take my previous gel polish completely off and rushed through the design I asked for and if you look close, you can tell. I am not a picky customer but there is nothing worse then being rushed through your appointment and it being completely obvious. I did still leave a tip because I thought the nail tech that I had was very friendly but had she of not rushed through it, that tip would of been double or triple of what it was.
