Live music, cozy setup, good food
Disappointed. Made a reservation but the restaurant seemed severely underprepared for the night's service. It was several minutes before a hostess appeared to seat us, almost 15 minutes before our waitress and glasses of water arrived, and nearly an hour before our cold, bland, overpriced meals were served (4 small scallops for $32!!!). At least the patio setting and ambiance were beautiful. Such a shame the dining experience didn't match.
Really good! drink prices better they would get 5 stars!
but the food YUMMY!
FD :)
Very unimpressed with food quality, I would not eat there again considering the surrounding options.
Came here for restaurant week. I was so surprised how amazing everything is. From the Caesar salad (Probably the best salad I have ever had) , to the grilled salmon and the pink champagne sorbet (If you have ever one of those strawberry Hi-Chew candies; it tastes like that). They are still working on the lighting outside of the patio and valet parking is complementary.
Service is good. The food is overpriced.
Lovely patio setting to enjoy outdoor drinks and a meal. Food is alright but not great; menu can use some added variety.
Decent happy hour, but outside 4-6pm, quality is not worth the price.
Funny, my wife and I were looking for a nice Mexican restaurant in La Jolla, and the best one that was nice and sit-down was Mustangs and Burros.
The food is unique and very good, servers decent, and atmosphere nice with the outside area having interesting seating around a large fire.
Tough to rate this a 5 star, but certainly worth a few trips if you're staying at the hotel, and even if you're staying in La Jolla you may want to come for a meal
