The real deal. If you're in the area and you go anywhere else for Italian, you're crazy. I loved the mascarpone with stewed prunes - it was perfect in every way.

Easily one of the best Italian restaurants I've ever at. Intimate (read: small) place and very popular so they fill up fast. We put our name on the list for first available (bar or table) and went 2 blocks down the street to Abilene for drinks while we waited. Once I got a call we had 2 seats waiting for us at the bar. Service was spectacular. We went with the bartender's suggestion for our appetizer, a burrata special, which was delicious. My wife had the sweet potato sage ravioli, I opted for the short rib over polenta. Both were outstanding. We of course had the tiramisu for dessert. We happened upon Frankies by accident and cannot believe our good fortune. We will be back.

Came here on a very wet day. The staff was very friendly. The atmosphere better nice. Could have a conversation in a normal voice. Good was great. Had the pork brasciola with a side of bacon. Yum. Wine selection was nice.

As good as it gets! Recommend by local relatives for hosting ~25 friends/family for a very special dinner celebration (2.5 years ago). Exemplary service/atmosphere/drinks and of coursecuisine!!! A perfect evening we'll never forget for the rest of our lives!

Best food in brooklyn. Sad the roasted vegetable salad was retired from the menu. Was the tastiest thing they had. But the new options are equally amazing. Definitely a winner.

Bar staff and restaurant staff were friendly, accommodating, and knowledgable about their food and drink offerings. The ambience is also very welcoming and relaxing. Beautiful courtyard garden eating space out the back too.

Decent food but pricy and a bit too salty.
No bread appetizer was given even though the waitress said she would bring it soon and there were flies constantly buzzing around our table area. We had to flag the waitress to get her attention, she was not proactive in meeting our needs. A pricy and forgettable experience.response / report this review -

Fantastic place, My wife and I had our wedding here, [March 2017] ceremony in the courtyard and reception in the stable and they could not of done enough from the planning and quoting, the best Italian food I've ever had, drinks were great too, and the amazing staff who even chased off a couple of wedding crashers.

Maybe our favorite restaurant in the city! Always consistent and good. The food is delicious and very reasonably priced. great wine list, and again, prices are great for the quality. Service here is always friendly and attentive. Frankies is especially nice in the warmer months as they have an amazing backyard.

Pretty good spot. Not a very extensive menu, but what they have, they do well. We had the cured meat tasting, the Buffalo mozzarella with arugula, the pappardelle with braised lamb, and the eggplant. Everything was delicious. The lamb was cooked perfectly and the sauce was amazing.
