I went to just check it out. To me the website sounded like I needed to only call ahead if I wanted a guided tour I thought I could roam around by myself. Disappointed to drive there and find out it was closed.
Fantastic. The tour was so interesting - we will go back again! To hear Gershon play his own piece "Rhapsody in Bluegrass very moving and beautiful. I highly recommend this museum.
This place is a treasure. Awesome collection and history of player instruments, pianos, a player violin and one of the very few fully functioning Arkestra's in the worldmy favorite though is the player piano with the rolls cut by Gershwin himselfit's just spooky hearing Gershwin play Gershwin.
My kids (8&10) really enjoyed it, but they love anything about music. Some kids might find it boring. It definitely is not ideal for real young kids that can't sit still for large amounts of time.
We loved it. Great tour and instrument collection was wonderful! Recording piano awesome! Will come again!
The reproducing piano does a performance of Gershwin playing Rhapsody in Blue that simply must be seen to be believed.
We arrived very late, but the museum personnel were very accommodating - fit us into the last tour of the day, then in progress - and when it was over, started the tour again just for us and a few others to show us what we missed.
A really rare, odd, wonderful collection.
My only regret was that I wasn't in town long enough to see a silent film with live accompaniment. Maybe next year!
Very awesome place if you like music and history. Player pianos, nickelodeons, and electric organs are a few of the unique collection that you'll see. Our guide was super knowledgeable!
Tour of a large amount of antique musical instruments complete with historical background and facts. Tour guides are very nice and try their best to inform their guests.
Great place to take the family, a great musical experience. You will see things here that you won't see anyplace else in the world.
Great tour. Amazing staff & guide. Extreamely satisfied
This is a wonderful place to take the whole family! The instruments are amazing, and the guides keep it fun & interesting. My personal favorite is hearing Gershwin himself playing the piano, via the wonder of some very OLD technology!
