I seriously LOVED this place. Unfortunately the soup I wanted sold out earlier in the day, but I was plenty happy with the chicken medallions in mushroom sauce that I ordered instead. My husband ordered the pork - cordon bleu and it was also phenomenal. Nice warm family-friendly atmosphere.

Quaint small place. I gave up my seat at a table for four since I was alone and went outside at the tables out there because well, that's the way I was raised. The staff about had a heart attack cause it is chilly outside but not too bad withat my jacket on.

Great food! Caring staff. What more do you need?

This was the first place we past walking to town from the parking lot. We walked around all the shops and nothing else jumped out at us like the "fried cheese" sign.

We ordered the "famous" mozzarella ham sandwich and a fried cheese kabob. Both were excellent and the service was fast and friendly. Thanks for a great meal.

My first time visiting this area. Last night was our first time at this restaurant. We were both pleasantly surprised. We are from Florida and I ordered the grilled salmon with mango glaze. It was Norwegian wild salmon very fresh, cooked to perfection "medium" not dry nor undercooked but perfect. The mango glaze was so good and not available in Florida. To think I had to come to Georgia to get salmon with a mango glaze on it!
My husband had been New York strip and it's cooked over a wood fire and he absolutely loved the rub seasoning taste and the hickory chip flavor. Our waitress was very knowledgeable very efficient .

Very delicious fried cheese and schnitzel. We were concerned about not having a reservation, but we had only a short wait for a table. Glad we took the advice of another reviewer to eat here early in your trip so you have time to go back, because we're definitely planning a return visit!

Authentic German cuisine that is a MUST VISIT while in Helen. The food was absolutely incredible, the staff friendly, and the service quick. I think this may actually be the BEST and most UNIQUE restaurant my wife and I visited while we enjoyed our stay here.

I guess it's not too bad tasting for being MICROWAVED. I heard the microwave go on and off about 10 different times. Everything is heated in the microwave and I asked the waitress if my meal was microwaved and she said ,"We only microwave it after we cook it to get it heated all the way through". WHAT?!?!
Ridiculously overpriced for some microwaved wieners and cheese. I don't know how you guys got so many great reviews, maybe because you appeal to drunk people, I don't know. But unless you're rolling in dough and don't care about good quality food please don't waste your money in here. Most plates (which are just basic plates of brats and some sides) are priced at $17 and higher. Also don't plan on sitting in here for long at all. There's only 4 tables inside and 2 outside and they rush you out as soon as the food gets to you.

Just had lunch here first time trying this restaurant. Very pleased with the results! The food was well prepared had the Schweinebraten! Last time I had it was in Düsseldorf. It was excellent and the portion matched well with the price. The service was friendly and efficient! Will definitely be back!

Amazing food, wonderful service! We were drawn in by the "Fried Cheese" sign. This delicious German/Czech cafe is lovely. We sat on the deck with our dogs. We had the goulash and fried cheddar with potato salad. Every bite was delicious! The German Chocolate cake was to die for. For Pokemon players there is a gym AND a pokestop in range of your meal.

Ok I don't understand the people that gave this place one star. This is our 5 day in Helen and by far this place is the best to eat. Food was f**king amazing. Staff doesn't bug you and it isn't expensive. Would be willing to pay more for my dish, the fried cheese sandwich. Bring on the Nutella crepe :)

We had a great lunch here - the fried cheese kebab was super yummy but the real highlight was the pork cutlet and the mushroom schnitzel!

Horrendously overpriced for the lowest quality of food. Cordon Bleu must have boiled in soapy water. I could only choke down less than half of it before immediately sending the rest to Fear Factor. Also, in my drink, I found an unidentifiable life form floating around in it. Don't eat here.

YOU NEED A RESERVATION HERE. It's a very small place, and is busy. The food was incredible, though the service was a bit lacking. We had a reservation but ended up waiting - the hostess was rushing us even before we were seated, telling us to decide what we want to eat before we even got a table. We were rushed at the table, and rushed to finishbut when it came to them getting us the check and picking it up we had to call them over. Overall a good experience - just wish we felt that we could take the time to enjoy it.

The food is authentic and delicious. It is pricey but that is expected in a touristy town. Also everything on the menu is worth every penny. So so so good. I loved the small cafe atmosphere and the service was exceptional!
