Always busy which is great sign! Hubby and I drive to Detroit just for Mudgie’s. Love all their food! My favorite is the turkey spinach sandwich with strawberry jam on it! Yum! Highly recommend!

What a delicious sandwich! Only had 2 days in Detroit and I'm glad a friend told me to come here. The soup and sandwich I had were both really tasty. The sandwich was massive. Check out this photo comparing it to my hand.

We went to Mudgie’s for Saturday brunch and sat on the patio. The bees were really annoying as it was the end of summer, but the patio was nice and the service was friendly. We both loved our drinks and food, they have a great selection of craft beer and cocktails. The sandwich selection has variety as well. Really great experience!

Amazing deli sandwiches of a Gourmet Style. The waitress was cheerful and attentively helpful in suggesting items we might like and refilling drinks. There are so many wonderful soup and sandwich options I can't wait to try another type. It is pricier, but totally worth every bite.

The sandwiches were amazing! There was a wasp problem on the patio (nest was gone, but a few stragglers were still trying to enjoy our food with us). The staff was super accommodating and moved us twice (once to another outside table, then again to one inside to finish our food in peace). Wasps or not, the food was worth a return trip! Definitely recommend Mudgie’s if you’re looking for some delicious sandwiches!

Great place. Bartender Nick and manager Margaret made for a fantastic night. The Gutty lives up to its reputation. Ask for a Shane Drank or Nick's closing drink, both off menu but fantastic.

Ordered two take out sandwiches during lunch hour, both were ready to go at estimated time. Hot, crunchy green crispt lettuce, soft bun, inside lightly moistened bun with hot meat juice. Beyond tasteful, twelve bucks, enough meat for the price. Bottled pop was a bit expensive, lost a star as I was very surprised by this.

We went to Mudgie's this weekend. I was excited because I hadn't been there since my first visit to Detroit, nearly three years ago. We were seated at what turned out to be a pretty wobbly table, and received our drinks fairly quickly. A few minutes later, the waiter stopped by and noticed the table was wobbly. As he was trying to wedge some pieces under the leg, my daughter's drink fell into her lap. Full root beer, all over the place. The waiter brought a couple paper napkins, then kind of stood there, and asked if we wanted to refill the root beer. I had already scooped the ice from her lap and dumped it back in the glass. I told him we'd like a new one. He brought one back, with a lid this time, but didn't ask if we were ready to order. He proceeded to ignore us for the next 12 minutes, as he stopped by every one of his tables around us. Finally, he came to take our order. It was 18 minutes later when someone else brought our two sandwiches, but my daughter's grilled cheese was no where in sight. The person who brought the sandwiches didn't mention it, didn't say I'll be right back with the grilled cheese, nothing. She just kind of walked away while looking at the receipt. Nine minutes went by when I was finally able to stop our original waiter to ask about the grilled cheese for my daughter. He just said, "oh it should be right out" and kept walking. Nearly six more minutes passed before she finally got her food. A grilled cheese. The simplest sandwich on the menu. We finally ate, but was never checked on by our waiter again, even though he was buzzing around other tables. Finally, I asked to speak to the manager when the hostess walked by (the manager turned out to be the person who dropped off two sandwiches and walked away). I told her everything that had happened, but she didn't seem too concerned. She said she was sorry and would "take, like a lot off." (her words) Several minutes passed when I stopped another waitress to ask her if she could tell our waiter we wanted the check. He finally brought it and the manager had taken half off. The food was just as good as I remember it being the first time I was taken to Mudgie's, but we were severely disappointed in the service. It was a horrible experience and I will definitely think twice before going there again.

Great sandwich spot and good wine selection. Good options for fining fast on a quiet night, or going out with friends for a quick bite to eat. Would recommend just about any sandwich, the food is superb. Also, for the lactose intolerant people like me, they do a great job of being open to editing their offerings so I don't get sick.

We came for brunch on a Sunday, it was a 4 min walk from our hotel Trumbull & Porter. It was Mothers day at 10AM so there was a short wait. We sat at the bar and the Irish coffee was amazing. Our food was terrific too. She got the Baguette french toast and I had the breakfast skillet. Service was great. Can't wait to go again.

Sandwiches are made of real, grass fed meat, put together in a deli style. Bartender/Staff MICHAEL gives a 5-star service for being knowledgeable and helpful. A wonderful dining place that is a walking distance from Greyhound Bus Station (you don't have to suffer from vending machines, nor die of starvation).

Really great deli. The Barrett is probably my favorite item on the menu. Corned beef, Swiss, Russian dressing delicious. The "Sorry Charlie" (tuna salad) is pretty good too.

Great sandwiches. Seriously, they are huge. Also the drink selection is excellent. I love that I can build my own sandwich or salador I can choose from some well crafted options. Going for anything roast beef is a sure winner.

So I was stuck with many hours to kill at the Detroit Greyhound station. This gem was a five-minute walk. I hate taking the Greyhound but if they all had a place like this five minutes from them it would be my favorite way to travel. The food was excellent the staff was excellent and the beverages were excellent. If this place were around the corner from me I'd be fat and broke but exceedingly happy. I was pretty pleased with the price point too. I spent more than I normally would but only because I couldn't resist what they had to offer, after all I had no idea when I might I have a chance to come back.
