Very nice evening here. 3 piece band doing holiday and classic tunes softly enough to converse. Derrick at the bar made us two perfect martinis. David took care of our extremely good dinner. Finally a chef who knows how to cook a steak as requested. The attention to detail here is astonishing and wonderful. I don't mind paying for quality and the London chop House is the real deal.

The service was good, the food was perfect and the wine paired well with the steaks. I recommend the 14 oz, dry aged ribeye. Valet was professional and fast. The bar was beautiful as well. I could see going for just drinks. They had a lovely small band as well.

Wow! This place was amazing! We got the royal treatment in the private dining room. The service was excellent! The bartenders were very very good to us and made sure that we could have anything we wanted to drink. They went out of their way to make sure that the bar was stocked with things that we would want and showed off their skills throughout the night.
The wait staff was also very attentive. The food was divine. I was there for a client dinner so the menu was prefix but the choices were fantastic. The steaks came out perfectly and the seafood was to die for.
And if you get a chance to go to the Cigar Bar, I highly recommend it. The choices in the cabinet covered the entire range of options. Even if you don't have a long time to hang out there they have short options (literally called short stories), that are delicious.

The owners of this establishment are morally bankrupt. DONT EAT HERE. There are so many other options for fine dining in Detroit why choose to pad the pockets of people who look down upon "common folk" or as ELLENA GATZAROS (owner) says "peasants."

ALSO- the owners have other restaurants one of which was so dirty that their GM became terminally ill as a result and must get a double lung transplant to survive. Eat here at your own risk.

My favorite upscale restaurant ive ever been too. Excellent food, awesome ambiance. Have gone here every year on my wedding anniversary for 4 years and have never left disappointed.

Attention to Detail Lacking for a Detroit Landmark

A recent visit to one of Detroit’s landmark establishments, didn’t yield the experience that my guest and I were seeking. Even after pointing out to the wait staff and general manager, it still didn’t improve.

We ordered a steak, walleye, roasted cauliflower, crab bisque and desert. The bisque was too salty and the waiter failed to keep water on the table. As for the entre, the steak and walleye was perfect and cauliflower tasty. It would have been nice to try the desert, but after 10 minutes we decided we had enough and asked for the check.

The details that we thought the restaurant would have mastered include: water always filled, cleaning of the table once desert was ordered, wait staff occasionally asking how things were, general manager offering to substitute the salty bisque for something else (he was told it was too salty) and the delivery of the desert.

Given the experience, I felt compelled to share with the general manager our disappointment with the service and his response was to hand me his card? This reminded me of a comment that a former waiter, who once worked at the original Detroit London Chop House, stated “If you don’t leave pleased, we won’t let you leave until we make it right.” I wish Mr. Chavez was still working there, because I’m confident our celebration and high expectations for this Detroit Landmark would have been met.

Extremely pricey for the quality. The lobster at $75 dollars was tasteless and rubbery. Atmosphere was nice, but not worth the price.

The atmosphere here is great. As soon as we pulled up in our vehicle for the valet, a nice gentlemen walked us inside. The ambiance once you get into the dining area is quiet and intimate however has live music which doesn't interfere as our is subtle. Our server did a great job explaining menu options and going over the wine menu with great detail. The food was delicious. I had a filet with the garlic mashed but the dessert was definitely the best part. I would go back just for the coconut dessert option, as it was one of the best desserts I've ever had. Overall lovely place but on the pricey side.

Wonderful classic steak house, traditional. The servers are amazing here super nice and caring about your steak. The wine list is good with lots to pick from as well as a large cocktail list. I had a lobster bisque and it was creamy and full of large pieces of lobster. The steak tar tar is a must get! My husbands ribeye was cooked to perfection as well as my filet.

So, I absolutely loved this place, from the setting, to the atmosphere, to the food. First off, Drinks were absolutely perfect, appetizers were even better, and service was phenomenal. My one and only issue with the restaurant, which to me is most important when going to a chop house. Quality of meat was sub-par. Our table ordered 4 filets, all cooked differently, all came out over cooked and dry. Unfortunately i had to give them 4 stars because of this, but other than that, a 5 star restaurant, but if I wanted a filet, i would go somewhere that would get me a better piece of meat for half the price.
Side Note: The cigar lounge upstairs was amazing as well!

I really liked the atmosphere in this restaurant. They had very good live music which was subtle so it didn't disturb at any point and added to the atmosphere. Service was very good. We were a group of 7 and all meals came at the same time. I ordered my Ribeye Steak medium rare, but it came well done. The waiter agreed immediately and brought it back to the kitchen. Unluckily the 2nd steak I received still looked rather medium but it was great. The dessert was almost to much for me but worth it. I definitely would come back.
