Excellent service & food! Price on par with other restaurants of this type in the area.
A short drive off Long Beach Island, but well worth it!
The fish was fresh, sides & salads were all great, flounder was excellent. One in our party had the N.E. clam chowder & it was phenomenal!

We asked some of the locals where to go for good seafood and this was their recommendation. Place was busy but the wait staff was great. The food was to die for, we are looking forward to going back (even though it is 1 & 1/2 hours from our house).

Served a meal with a rotted roast potato. It was discovered after I had eaten some of it. As you can imagine, it ruined the dining experience for me and my wife. When I brought this to the attention of our waitress she indicated she could do nothing about it. That seems pretty unfair, and it only made the dining experience pretty much a disaster at this point. When I asked to speak to the manager, one of the owners came. He refused to address the issue by giving us a rain check and said the best he could do is give us another potato. At that point, we had hardly eaten any of our dinners and they were ice cold by this time, and I was feeling sick to my stomach – who could really enjoy a meal after all of this? I was really shocked and very disappointed by the owner's refusal to address the issue properly. So after years of patronizing Mus City and the Causeway, my family and I, including our extended family have elected to stop going Mud City and to all the owners others restaurants too. There are so many better choices with fair and extraordinary customer service unlike this one.

Bill was $100. Too many better places, for the same $ or less.

My fiance and I were seated quickly and ordered the Jumbo King Crab. We both couldn't get over how big and delicious our crab legs were and we both left very happy. Easily the best crab I have ever eaten. We will definitely be back.

Drove from Albany NY for my 30th birthday, have been craving crab since a summer trip to Cape May earlier this year. It's satisfied in every way the crab was fresh and delicious and it was fun to crack it myself. Service was friendly and prompt there was only a short 30 minute wait. Enjoyed the Maryland style Blue Claw crab Dungeness section in the best garlic sauce I have ever had and a whole fresh Dungeness that they picked out of the tank in front of us. Would recommend for any seafood fan, men you looked great only enjoyed crustacean this time.

Didn't make a reservation & looking at a 45+ minute wait, so we ate outside on the patio where tables are 1st come, 1st served. Limited menu (the entrees aren't available). Ipswich clams, shashimi tuna as appetizers. Both excellent. Baked jumbo lump crab cake, excellent. The real surprise was the fish & chips. Chips were standard French fries you can get anywhere; but the fish was perfectly prepared Some of the best anywhere!

The food and service is excellent. The ladies up front are awesome. But they don't take reservations so get there early before 3 pm because they get packed a 1-2 hour wait. It's worth the wait but when you're hungry you usually move on.

Last 3 visits here have not been that great. I guess they make so much money they can herd you in like cattle during the summer and just toss some sea food at you and all is well. 24 bucks for a small chunk of tuna and small potato really? I have to say the service has gone down hill as well. You can't live off your reputation you still have to produce good food and service. Will be taking a break from here for awhile

This is a spot with craft paper covering the tables and a roll of paper towels on every table. Down and dirty crab spot. But I tried the fried shrimp. They were a bit over cooked. The potato salad had onion in it even though my server said it didn't. The corn of the cob was perfect--cooked well and tasty. I like this place but I obviously chose the wrong entree.

Best choice for seafood in the Long Beach Island area. Great food, good service. You can even dine with your dog if you air at one of the 6 tables out front. We did it and it was a huge help on a hot day when we didn't want to leave our pooch in the car. They even have a cool walk up bar made from an Airstream. They don't take reservations and they get crowded because they're quite popular. Do it.
