Overcharge and more concerned about how much money they can cheat out of you than the best interest of your pet. Will charge additional for unnecessary exams and fees when they feel like your visit isn’t equaling enough money for them. Highly recommend avoiding this veterinarian.

Very caring staff, been there twice, under emergency situations, and although it's not inexpensive, well worth my fur babies life. I even got a follow up call from one of the staff, days later. Thanks to them, for being so caring!

Having to put your animal down is one of the hardest things to do. The staff at Mountainview were wonderful. Highly recommend this Vet office.

UPDATE - Well, it is official, Mountain View Vet Clinic in Shippensburg and Amy Hinton specifically, killed my dog by overdosing him on Meloxicam, causing ulceration of his digestive tract which led to him going septic which caused him to die. I would be very careful about using this vet clinic if you care about your pets. My boy shouldn't have suffered the way that he did and I should be able to trust that the vet knows how to properly prescribe medications. My boy would still be here today if is wasn't for her!

Absolutely horrible experience, they over medicated the dog with twice the loading dose (I didn't realize this until I researched the medication weeks after being up all night and day tending to the dog), never revisited the dosage after a couple of days on the medication, and I never got any information of what to watch for or how to administer either medication (only found out after doing more of my own research). Second vet didn't prescribe any medication or ask to see the dog after a phone call that the dog was going off food, message I received from the receptionist was to "wait until tomorrow when the test results would be in", TOMORROW! Then the final phone call, unfortunately after hours, but dogs don't always get sick between the hrs of 9 & 5 and got the impression that it was too much of a hassle to get a vet tech out of bed. Unfortunately, the dog passed away 12 hrs later. Very bad experience, got bounced around from vet to vet and everyone wrote this dog off because of his xrays when he walked in in good health.
