The capital regions best health solutions provider.
That's. Where. I. Work. To make. My. Living
Absolutely the worst insurance if you have a disability. They do not return phone calls and it doesn't matter if you are a doctors office or not. Between myself and my doctors office we have called them over a dozen times in the past two weeks yet they never call back.
Awesome store! Offers many great health benefits from the cafe to work out classes! The location itself is beautiful with all the modern features!
They did not pay my bills and they did not send them too me until almost a year later. I had coverage and now they refuse to pay my bills when I was covered through them at the time.
Feel bad for anyone who doesn't have a choice with anyone but this carrier. A whole year's worth of claims paid and then RETRACTED payment for all of them. Why? Because they insisted I had other health coverage at the time. Why they could not have called my husband or I to CONFIRM before they retracted payment I have NO CLUE. Now all providers are billing me again for once paid claims! Finally got Cap Blue to confirm we had no other coverage and so now each claim is being processed a THIRD TIME FOR REPAYMENT OF THE CLAIM. TOTALLY INCOMPETENT INSURANCE CARRIER!!!!!!
SCAMS AND LIES. I first signed up in 2016 for a plan and was told I had to pay for the first month before I could get the cards. The only way I was allowed to pay, according to them, was online. I had to fight a glitchy and broken payment system that developed an "unexpected error has occurred somewhere." message every time you would click a link to pay. I finally was told I had successfully completed my first months payment and was quickly sent my cards.
Then around July they suddenly deposited over $400 into my account. According to the customer service representative they had dropped me in May for "not making your payment for the first month". Yet they had continually taken payments from me for two extra months before "discovering their error". I threatened to take them to court and force them to be audited. Suddenly they claim I "can be reinstated" for $1,500/month ($232 original payment).
When I started to look for an insurance plan for 2017, I received a piece of mail claiming that I was now signed up for a more expensive plan that covered less. I had never signed up for this or requested this, but decided to go with it because it seemed better than the other choices.
I received the first bill in December. I didn't trust the online system, so I paid with a check. To guard against any screw-ups, I purchased a cashier's check from my credit union. I received my cards 10 days later.
When no bill came for February, I called up to find out what happened. I was told I had been canceled for not paying for the first month. When I told them I had sent in a check, they said it arrived February 17th. When I told them that both me and my credit union had proof that it had been sent in December, they suddenly became hostile and claimed it had arrived sometime in January, but said it had been arrived canceled and quickly hung up. When I checked with the credit union, I received proof that the check had been successfully deposited on January 4th into their account and had never been canceled.
Needless to say I am now working on filling a legal complaint against these filthy scammers.
One of the very worst companies I've ever worked for: I was a temp custodian from January 2014-May 2014 and the custodian department was one of the worst run operations I've ever suffered, from a nasty female minority (what nationality she was-I don't know OR care!) whom was a absolute rude bully and the managers didn't care about her poor communication skill either! THIS PLACE SUCKS and it is on my boycott list of horrible businesses I'll never do any business with-I advise others to do the same!
Worst insurance ever. I am a diabetic, so I purchased their 'cadillac' plan that costs $5,160.00 per year, plus I pay somewhere around $300.00 in medication copays every month. A few months ago I had an issue that caused severe bleeding to the point of needing a blood transfusion and IV Iron therapy due to severe anemia, and just got a letter letting me know that my IV iron therapy will not be covered and now I am going to be stuck with the bill, even though I had nearly fatal iron levels. I was informed that because I don't have a chronic kidney disease, that I didn't need the acute therapy MY DOCTOR put me on. In addition, it is nearly impossible to get coverage no in my area because this company only pays the doctor a small fraction of what the bill is. This company could give two sh*ts about YOUR HEALTH. So now, after paying them thousands of dollars this year, plus my copays, plus my deductible, now I get to pay for hematologist/oncologist visits out of my own pocket because apparently, I was supposed to die of anemia in my sleep. If you're thinking about going with them.. DONT. Colossal waste of your money.
The worst insurance company to work with. They make it impossible to pay the premium on line or by their phone system. I think they really want people to get frustrated and drop them. God forbid we actually need this insurance. Can only imagine what filing a claim will take to get processed.
Value HMO is no value. Too few doctors on network
Stay away from this company. I was successfully using Symbicort, a well known drug for COPD, for 7 years. I got a letter in the mail notifying me they would no longer pay anything on this drug. This is not health care. I continue to have claim problems.
They are a great insurance plan, until you actually need it. Then you get last minute cancelled authorizations. I wasted a an entire day at the hospital just to find out that they cancelled the authorization. In the in the meantime I am in pain. When did profits become more important the health?
