This is one of our favorite places to stop in and grab a brew. Ghetto Blaster is awesome looks dark, drinks light and crisp. Other draft selections are good too, bartenders are very knowledgeable. Food is okay, not my favorite place to eat. Pizzas are not “wood fired”, but if you just want great beer and some munchie food it fits the bill. Recommend checking it out for at least a beer if you’re in the area great shops right across the street!
The detroit resurgence original! Without MCBW I seriously doubt the rise of the Cass corridor (aka midtown) would have happened. True pioneers and original detroit style aesthetic, business model and soul.
Their beer is good to very good Not an exceptional brewer comparative to others, but I've never had a bad beer whatsoever.
The staff is always the best Super friendly, down to earth and accommodating And the pizza!!! Best brewpub pizza ever! Perfect size, delicious high quality ingredients and combinations. You can't go wrong. Also try the hot crab dip 😊
Fantastic beer at a reasonable price. Gourmet pizza to boot. Definitely a place to be for a dinner or drinks in midtown.
When it comes to professionalism these guys and gals are no stranger to it. They absolutely blew me away with the service, food, and oh yeah of course the BREW'S. Even though it was last min Amy the locations GM, accommodated a private party of 25 for my father's surprise 60th birthday celebration. Along with her staff such as Ophelia, our bar server and the rest of the staff made us feel at home. I must say "Motor City Brewing Works", will more than likely be my first choice for future planned event & night outings.
Staff was great and really knew their stuff. They were able to recommend a great local beer and even give the history of it.
The menu is simple but still offers a great variety.
The BBQ chicken pizza is the best I've ever had. I would recommend to anyone.
Best pizza in town, hands down. In the warmer weather, the patios are the best little outdoor spots. We've come here for numerous years and it's always solid beer and stellar pizza.
Great food, great service, and awesome atmosphere of midtown Detroit. You can choose to be indoor or out on the balcony, food or drink, either way you're going to have a nice relaxing time.
The beer was on par with craft beers I've had before. The crab dip was good and the BBQ chicken pizza was tasty. The service was friendly and the atmosphere great with an upper level patio looking out to a cityscape. I would visit again.
Sat at the bar for a few hours with a good friend. Enjoyed several beers and a pizza each. Met a cool couple at the bar and stayed for an extra hour. Staff was super friendly and accommodating. I'll definitely be back soon.
I will never EVER BE BACK!! Took my mom in one night while visiting, to place a to-go order. My husband and I have ordered half/half pizzas several times here!! My mom and I approach the bar to order and the female "manager" says they do not do that anymore. Fine, so we are standing there deciding what to orderthe said female "manager" working on 4/21 at around 1015pm moves her spices back like they were allergic to black skin and says "do you guys need to regroup!" NO, I DONT NEED TO REGROUPas a physician, I guess I probably should've shared the time a long string of hair was in my pizza and I still came back to give business. My husband and I live around the corner and come here OFTENDONE and NEVER AGAIN!
This place is one of our favs. They've got great beer and hand made pizzas and their crab dip is to die for! Always fantastic.
First time there was a good experience. Fast service, good beer (about $5/pint), and good pizza (about $10 for a 10" pie). It's a nice stop, relatively small place of you were wondering.
I love everything about this place. Their craft beers are delicious. If they ever make the peach again definitely try it! Their food is very good. It's usually crowded but well worth it.
