Great atmosphere and a great spot to get a meal before a game, concert or anything else that brings you into Detroit. Have never had a bad burger, sandwich or other dinner. Love the atmosphere and the memorabilia, it really shows what it means to be hockeytown.

So disappointed. On a Sunday afternoon, my mother, grandmother and I were on our way to a show at the Fox Theatre. The Hockeytown Cafe seemed to be the only restaurant open on the block, so we gave it a try! Our waitress was very friendly and brought us our drinks. After we ordered our food, we noticed we had been sitting their roughly a half hour without any sign of our food or waitress. Our waitress stopped back over at the half hour mark and said she was running to the back to grab our food..another 10 minutes went by. Long story short, we ended up leaving without eating. As we left, we told the 4 girls (hostess/waiters who were on their phones) at the host stand that we were sorry but had to leave because we had waited so long and our show was soon to start. The girls said, "Okay, we're sorry." That was it.no word from a manager, no sincere apology. I'm not quite sure I will be back. I would advise your choice if you want to try this place!

Overpriced generic bar food for drunk sports fans. If that's you, no offense. There are way better places to get drunk and eat Gordon food service wings than this place. Lots within walking distance.

Actually practically everything's from Sysco food service. They don't really "make" many items here. I used to work here. People just see the name Hockeytown and expect something really good. Those people would be wrong though.

The burgers are pretty good though, at least they were when I worked here. I don't know if they changed. And they do have some good deals for pizza and beer if you have your game ticket. The pizza is not bad. It definitely won't win any awards and no one will remember it after you leave. But if you wanted good pizza you would already be at Buddy's. If your wasted and too lazy or drunk to go there, go here.

But good luck getting prompt service from your waiter because they will have 20 other tables to serve because of short staff. This place is for tourists and people unfamiliar with the city only. Locals would never eat here. there are just too many less tacky, better places to eat at.

But if you like bland generic overpriced food, and love the Red wings so much that you would rather be surrounded by your favorite teams memorabilia, than by eating delicious, fairly priced food, then by all means come to Hockeytown.

Over priced. The wings are over breaded and taste like oven baked (like pizza hut). Service was scetchy at best. Had to track down the server to get our bill after advising we were ready to leave and never got the bill.

Stopped in before a Tigers game, third time visiting but first in a couple years. Liked the text when table was ready. Dislike the fact they streamlined the menu, although i understand why. Their Mac and cheese was great last time but not available on short menu. Service was slow, drinks took 15-20 minutes to arrive, food 20 after. Was really looking forward to eating there after the first couple times, but we won't be back

Check in process is great. You get a text on your phone when your table is ready. Prices are high for both drinks and food. Waited about 20 minutes for a server once we were seated. Burgers took about another 30 minutes after that. Food was ok.

Very disappointed. The atmosphere was lame and rather empty. I found that odd expecially since it was Friday night and the tigers were playing. They have a very small menu with burgers and sandwiches. Nothing on it seemed amazing or worth the trip for. I did not enjoy my meal/ didn't eat it. Our waiter was not very good at her job she never came back to check on us until everyone else was done eating. It was not like she was busy, I saw her walking around wasting time. Basic waitress skill is to check on your tables. However she was nice when she was around. I will not be returning mostly due to the lame menu.

This used to be the place to go before/after Tigers game. Still a good crowd but good quality has went down hill. Last time I was here I had the equivalent of Little Ceasers pizza. This time I had the worst wings I have ever had, anywhere. Tons of great places now in Detroit - go elsewhere.

Had a good time here before a Wings game. The service wasn't that great but the environment is cool. Good place to grab a couple drinks with your friends and then head to the Joe.

Cool sports vibe. Lots of motorcycles on display - a lot to look at. TVs around the restaurant showing sports games. Pretty large beer selection and food was decent. A couple vegetarian options available. Food portions were quite large.

This was probably the worst customer service experience I've had at a restaurant. I was with a group of 5 and when we arrived, there were not too many people. We waited 20 minutes just to place our drink order. We waited an hour for our food, which was good, but our waitress forgot parts of 2 of our orders. The best part: we asked the bill to be split with the two couples and the single guy. She left the bill with all of our orders on it at the table and told US to separate out the food and she will reprint the receipts. We literally had to do her job for her. If it was busy, that would be understandable, but it was not busy. If the service wasn't so terrible, it might be a decent place to eat.
