My stay at motel is always excellent, the staff is friendly, tje rooms are clean and the rates cant be beat. I highly recommend any and everyone to stop by and visit Motel 6 of WAYCROSS Georgia
If I could rate it a "0" I would. Horrible experience. Arrived with my 2 young children was given a key to an occupied room where we walked in on two people laying in bed who were obviously startled. Then once we settled into another room later that evening as my kids slept SEVERAL ROACHES appeared all throughout the room. I was literally killing them left & right. It was disgusting. Woke my kids up and moved to a cleaner better hotel. Had to argue with the desk lady for 25 min for a full refund.
It was a good value. It would have been a much better value without the Georgia Motel Tax
we stayed at this Motel 6 when we evacuated for Irma. I originally had a 5 night reservation because I didn't know how long we would stay away from our home. After 2 nights I went to the office and changed my stay to 3 nights. The clerk said she processed a $130 refund but it has not shown up on my credit card, even as a pending transaction, so right now my review of this location is being hampered by this. My experience before this had been good.
The staff - especially Abigail - was very efficient and friendly. They made sure all guests had everything they needed. They did we quite well under pressure - lots, including myself, were there to escape Hurricane Irma.
The front desk lady was very nice and was patient while a relative booked our room for us online. Unfortunately everything else is substandard. Remotes for TV don't work. No blankets, only sheets on beds. No shampoo and front desk is out. Smoke alarm dinging every two min because of low battery so I had to unplug it. Half the lights/lamps don't work. And worst of all, I saw a few baby cockroaches on the bathroom sink and I know roaches when I see them. Also the mini fridge is totally messed up.
What happened to standards? If you're going to charge full price ($75 a night for a two bed room) please have things up to standard. We will collect your money with no consideration for the quality of product we offer you, the customer. Is that the attitude of the people running this place?
Our FIRST room was 221 and the door didn't latch all the way so the heat and sun were coming though the crack and there were a ton of cockroaches in the room. When my father in law went down to request a new room the woman got upset and didn't want to give us a new room, but eventually gave in. We needed two rooms and they finally had enough people leave for us to get the second room and that was a disaster. The rooms we got were 224 and 229 and the room 224 wasn't bad at all, but we had to go down to the office AGAIN because the key wasn't working for room 229 and turns out the doors lock doesn't work so we had to get switched to ANOTHER room. The room we got switched to was 231 and at first is wasn't bad, but having a toddler it was hard to keep him from things like the broken mirror on the bathroom door and the broken A/C unit that you could literally stick your hand in. We initially thought it was roach free because my boyfriend searched the room before we put our things in there and he didn't find anything, but as I went to fill my sons sippy cup the was a cockroach that ran across the floor. At this point it's 10:30pm and my son is asleep so we're just going to deal with it and hope we don't take any home to our house. I do NOT recommend staying here and avoid this place at all costs.
Not perfect but pretty good for a roadside hotel. Wood flooring, decent sized rooms, relatively clean. There was a hole in the bathroom wall and some annoyingly loud neighbors, but nothing bad enough to complain to the hotel about. The price was better than some worse hotels we have stayed in and the advertised price was closer to the actual price than other hotels. (Including taxes and other extra fees)
Very simple room which we were expecting. I know the old saying you get what you pay for sometimes less but never more. We had bugs, clogged drain, floors not being cleaned they were sandy had to wear sandals, a/c unit very rusty and barely working , door was in need of repair, we had to pull on it to get it to shut, also the key stopped working one day and then the next day the lock batteries had to be changed. Once after the cleaning staff did there job we found french fries in the sink drain. The phone in our room didn't work so we had to go to the office with our problems.
And to top it all off on Sunday father's day we were getting ready to go to lunch and there was a drunk man with a sword making threatening jesters towards us and swinging it in to the side of the hotel. We called 911 they came fast and arrested the man for public drunkenness. The manager came out and the police asked him if he wanted to press charges and all he could say was that "he works". The manager never came to us with and apology or to ask us anything.
We're done with motel 6!
This is one of the best hotels I've ever stayed in, the rooms are clean, the bed is very comfortable, lady in front office on night shift is absolutely awesome, she takes good care of me each time i have come to stay. Its not noisy, its location is great close to many restaurants and shopping places. Its a great place to stay and inexpensive.
Our experience staying @ Motel 6 was very nice. Our room was in excellent condition upon our arrival. The location was great because my event was only 8 minutes away. The lady at the front desk when we arrived after 2pm to check-in was very nice, courteous & pleasant. If we visit Waycross in the future we will definitely book Motel 6 again or any other city. Thanks
I was expecting a dump, but got a surprise. The room was clean , quite, and comfortable. The cleaning lady and her crew were friendly and nice each day. The bed was so comfortable I wanted to take it home with me. The room was N/Smoking and did not smell like someone had smoked in it. . I am a F/B Manager for Hilton's, Star Island, and for Sheraton so I know what I am talking about when I say I was amazed. I am going back to Waycross in the near future and know exactly where you will be able to find me. I will be staying at Motel 6.
